Seriously? Nothing? Nothing from Fox News, nothing from the hardcore right-wingers, nothing from the Bible-thumping Christians?
Maybe I'm just living under a rock and this actually has happened, or maybe it's because of that whole Debt Bill thing eating up all the news time, but seriously? Come on. There HAS to be someone raging about Catherine somewhere, right?
Question one : did you even play catherine?
Question two : why do you think there should be catherine rage?
Question three: did you even play catherine?
OT: theres no catherine rage because there's nothing to rage about , i'm assuming you didn't play catherine if you think there is. There's no nipples or asses or visible penises , hell they don't even have a sex scene like dragon age and mass effect has . Vincent just wakes up in boxers next to a (obviously ) naked catherine bt we dont see anything. Did you look at the box and assumere there was nudity? Ther're are just suggestive sexual theme by implying they had sex , thats it . So before hating , play the game .

Wait, let me get this straight:
You are dissapointed that there are no people, that have not a single clue about video games, are talking bad of video games on national TV?
What the fuck is wrong with you?!
Hey, hey! Easy does it! Nobody's trying to hate. And I'm not
really disappointed; I was being facetious. Mostly, I was just surprised. I guess I should have made that clearer in my original post.
I mean, they were so fast to give Mass Effect a good thrashing (a game that was, content-wise, completely status-quo for American entertainment) because it had ONE sex scene in it, which, in itself, was hardly what any reasonable person would consider pornographic.
Now we have a game that is thematically (or so I've read) about sex--indeed, about pre-marital sex and cheating (something I would expect the Christian right to spontaneously combust over)--that has a picture of a half-naked man sliding between the... surprisingly reasonably sized breasts of a blond hottie as she removes her skimpy nightdress,
and nobody seems to care.
I do agree that's a net positive, but what I think is more telling is that Fox News and their ilk only seem to act as our "moral guardians" when it's convenient for them (i.e., when all the real news dries up).
P.S.: In spite of the fact that I don't own a PS3 or X360, I already
bought a copy of Catherine because I was worried that the shitstorm could hit at any time and Catherine
might get deported back to Japan. Guess I was being overly-paranoid, but whatever. Supporting innovative and unusual titles is its own reward, though it doesn't do much to take the sting out of looking like an idiot.
