I hate all popular games... unless they're popular to hate as well, in which case I'm staggeringly indifferent.
I also hate you.
I also hate you.
that pretty much sums it up, actually.ckel8330 said:Any game which is released on a yearly basis to appease their fickle, yet highly demanding fan base
Yup, I think most people either love or hate Cod but theres nothing in it to love. Cod is just a shooter...thats it. Its not even tf2.henritje said:call of duty its bloody overated!
Point 1: Does everyone else outside the gamer community know this? If you look up Duke Nukem on say Google or Youtube you don't find the plat-formers. You find Duke Nukem 3D and Duke Nukem Forever as the top on there.Akalabeth said:He said all Duke Nukem. This includes Duke Nukem 1 and 2 which were simple platform games. And Duke 3D which was your basic run of the mill doom clone with a bit more flair and innovation. As for the new game, who knows, it hasn't been released yet.LitleWaffle said:Problem: "Video Games inspire violence in adolescents and kids"Akalabeth said:eh? Duke Nukem causing trouble for the name of games?? Ohhhkay.Anarchemitis said:To hate something is to resent it to the point that you prefer it never existed. Some games come to mind when I hear such a distinction, but not many.
All the Duke Nukem and Manhunt, for example. They've only caused trouble for the name of games.
Potential Evidence: Someone could very easily blame Duke Nukem. Kill a random woman with a meat cleaver and then piss in her wounds. That is totally friendly.
But as it stands now. Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty have done LOTS more to tarnish the image of video games than Duke Nukem ever has.
Duke Nukem isn't about murdering women. If anything it's about sexing them up. Duke murders aliens, not innocent bystanders.
Hehe thanks.drummond13 said:Nice trollingTelHybrid said:Sonic 2. The level designs suck ass, the soundtrack is god awful.
Half-Life. Why doesn't Gorden Freeman talk? Valve are so lazy not finding a voice actor worthy of being the protagonist. Also headcrabs are uninventive and gay. The gameplay is bland and repetitive. Also those puzzles are boring.
Speaking of Valve, what is with Portal? You only get one gun and it doesn't work properly.
Oh also System Shock 2 sucks balls. Why does everyone seem to like that game? Bioshock 2 is waaaay better!![]()

Ahahaha.TestECull said:Funny you mention that, actually. Despite my almost universal hatred for online FPS and that type of gameplay, two of them have managed to be different enough, and forgiving enough, for me to actually have fun. The first is Garry's Mod. The second is TF2.OhJohnNo said:Would this be a bad time to point out your avatar bears a striking resemblance to the Spy, from the multiplayer FPS TF2?TestECull said:Pick any online FPS. I just don't enjoy them, I never have, and I never will.
I love TF2 because I can be as rubbish as I damn well please and still have fun. My KDR can be 0.014458409% and yet I still had fun. I can't put my finger on why, since CSS makes me want to club seals within five minutes of getting in-game if I'm not on LAN using all sorts of console cheats(God mode, gravity so low a jump makes you headbutt the top of the map and take two minutes to fall back down, and having a give_weapon command bound to a key, 32 bots on one team, several bored humans on the other. great fun), but it does.
Spyruhi there is simply a combination of two things I like.
Get it. It's the best way to spend $20 bucks. Free upgrades, free new weapons dropping, and you don't have to pay a single dime past the $20 to enjoy using various methods of mayhem for ultimate carnage.OhJohnNo said:Ahahaha.
Yeah, often the most fun things online are the completely insane ones. This is why it's so popular to lower the gravity and increase speed and jump height on the Halo games.
TF2 does sound pretty fun, especially the characters (IF GOD HAD WANTED YOU TO LIVE HE WOULD NOT HAVE CREATED ME!). I've often considered getting it (though when it comes to multiplayer shooters, my biggest hope is that Star Wars Battlefront 3 - a class-based multiplayer-focused star wars game - will come out).
If I do get it, it'd have to be on my 360 since my PC can't play any game made this millennium (seriously). As it is I've already put Metro 2033 and Bioshock on my Christmas list, but if I get enough money I may get TF2 as well.Gindil said:Get it. It's the best way to spend $20 bucks. And if you do get it, I probably have extra weapons that I could throw your way so you can see how they are.
Funny, just got done playing both. Other than adding in the need for ammo, the combat was the same. And the story was more of the same but with more tobacco and xenophobia. And they replaced an annoying driving mechanic with an annoying mining mechanic. I fail to see any genuine important difference between them.Fidelias said:Mass Effect 1 is all story with shitty everything else.ProfessorLayton said:I can't manage to play that much of Mass Effect, but I really want to. Every time I play, I end up just getting bored... but I keep trying because I've heard Mass Effect 2 is a lot better.
Mass Effect 2 is a vast improvement with characters and combat, but they lose some of the detail and the story is great, but not as great as the first one.
So yeah, try to stick with it, Mass Effect 2 is one of my favorite games and I'm waiting in anticipation for ME3.
But that's just my opinion.
