What remakes do we need?

if you can borrow an old xbox and get hold of the gem, i recommend you giving it a try.
it took oddworld into 3D at a time when alot of franchises struggled to make the 2D to 3D transition

I want that baldur's gate w/ the dragon age toolset project to get done, having never played it. I also just dl'ed planescape: torment which I am excited to try, but am having troubles getting it to work on vista 64bit. I'm sure I can get it sorted, but it'll take some effort and right now I cbf, so I'd take an update of that, more for compatibility than graphics even

There are loads of great old PC games that either don't work or are needlessly difficult to get to work on Windows 7 (or XP).

Is it bad that I keep around a computer running Windows 98 for that exact purpose?

You've got that problem solved then. I've got just one computer at a time for everything as I usually try to get rid of the previous one when I build a new one.

My point was that it would be sweet if there were remakes of certain older epic games that would have enhanced compatibility with never operating system's for example, if nothing else. Also some Amiga games would be great, those systems don't really grow on trees anymore, not to mention that many of the disks have been through a lot. And of course nostalgia would play a big part there. I'm fairly confident that remakes as a whole would not take anything off from the newer games either.

TIE MOTHERFUCKING FIGHTER is the game that warrants a remake, especially because the genere is so sparse nowadays.
give it a graphics boost, high-resolution, and that will make many people very happy in their pants.
