What Search Engine Do You Use?

What is 'not google'?
Here I was thinking Google was the standard on every computer- Now I know it's the standard on MOST computers.
EDIT: Er...Assuming that the Escapist forums are representative of the whole.

But then wouldn't that help Google to make each individual customer's experience more positive? As opposed to having to make generalizations over what people prefer, they can get far more specific, thus making everybody happy. Seriously, unless you're searching for child pornography on a regular basis, what does it matter if a company knows what websites you frequent?

Granted I'm more paranoid than some, but having a corporation that [if they desired] could know just about everything about me is sketchy. In an *extreme* hypothetical situation imagine the censors decide that gaming is linked to criminal intent or some such and Google has a list of everyone who's repeatedly searched for FPS game sites.
Or if a private party wanted to learn where you lived, your phone number, your email address - this can be accessed by third party sites who may not even have access to Google's archives. Imagine if they did...

And that's discounting all the info they log via gmail and other increasingly monopolized internet features.

But still, I tried Bing, and I hated it.
Yahoo's even worse.
And I miss Jeeves. That butler was awesome.

I used to ask Jeeves, because that butler was so fucking CLASS. Now that they removed him, the bombin'est suit-wearer on the Internet, I use Google.

Same for the exact same reasons.

As for why I use Google? Mostly because I like the interface, simple.

also Bing is blocked at my college which is rather frustrating because IE uses it for it's search function so if I search something up, I type it in, hit enter then get a "THIS PAGE IS BLOCKED" message
