I don't know the exact price of it, but Castle Crashers is a really fun game. It is also 4 player offline, I do not know whether that matters or not.

Here is some gameplay of it:
I am a huge nerd.

I have no friends.
Well... one or two, but I don't have multiple controllers an they don't have any at all...
Thats ok, the game is still really fun single player, it just means you get to kiss the princesses every time.

Cept the Corn Boss, everytime I've seen people stream it they moan and complain about the Corn Boss.

Hello person I've never met before. What do you think would be a good investment?
Castle Crashers seems fun, but I'd rather wait until someone else can play it with me before I get it.

You're asking the wrong guy when it comes to Xbox... I've never owned an Xbox nor will in the near foreseeable future unless I suddenly end up in a well paying job...

Personally I'd look for games in genres that appeal to me, that have niches from other genres that appeal to me.

-looks at marketplace-
That narrows it down to...
Fifty games...
Damn...

Oh well. I'm kind of torn actually. I want to download Sam and Max, but I've already played seasons one and two on PC so it really would be a waste of money. I'd like Duke 3D, if just to "support" 3DRealms, but I already own that and again, waste of money. Castlevania: TotL (or whatever) is appealing and cheap and if I have 400 points leftover I'm snagging it for sure. Shadow Complex looks fun, but it'll suck up almost all of my points. Mega Man 10 is fun, I know it, because Mega Man 1-6 and 9 were fun, but I know I'll NEVER beat it at any point in time, which throws me off a bit. I love fighting games, so things like MvC appeal to me, but I don't have Gold or friends who play X-Box, so there's little point in getting games like those. Then of course there's left-field games like Castle Crashers and Splodey-Man...
Agh!!

If you can't tell, I'm the kind of guy who either spends weeks planning his purchases or spends hours staring at two games deciding which one to buy at GameStop (completely zoning out any input from the store clerk of course).

This is the beauty of Amazon...

I plan things months ahead of time. And by the time I get around to it either a sale is going on or it's price has massively dropped.
Some things I will buy on personal hype.
For instance, I loved Fallout 1 and 2 as well as Fallout 3 (played a friend's (who moved away) copy). Therefore, I WILL buy New Vegas. I WILL pre-order it from GameStop. I WILL NEVER stop wearing the Vault 13 outfit. EVER.

This however doesn't help my current predicament.

There's the first monkey island game on live which you should definitely buy if you haven't played it already. Also, I'm seconding Shadow Complex and 'Splosion Man.

My cousin sent me a copy of Monkey Island (no fear, it was a retail copy) just a few weeks ago. It was great. I love point-n-clicks. I really do.

I'm leaning heavily towards Shadow Complex at this point, which sucks up 1200 points. has anyone here actually played it? How well does the 3D thing work?

I'm going to recommend Toy Soldiers. It's quite the fun little game.

Isn't there some kind of XBLA deal at the moment, making some arcade games cheaper? Look through those!

Alternatively, get Mass Effect via games on demand. Then buy Mass effect 2 once you've completed it. If you do most of the side quests, then Mass Effect 3 should come out just as you complete the first 2.

The "deals" are for gold members only.

Mass Effect...
I've been avoiding that game actually...
I don't want to get sucked into another franchise...
I might give it some legitimate thought, however.
Perhaps its time to open Pandora's Box.

I'm getting Shadow Complex.
I can't resist the allure.
So now I'm down to 400 points. Any suggestions other than Castlevania, which I'm heavily leaning towards.
