Hurt Locker (didn't really want to see it. Very surprising and shockingly funny)
Sex Drive (again had no interest but it was hilarious)
Big Lebowski (someone already mentioned it, but it is the greatest movie in the parlance of our time)
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (if you haven't seen this, rectify it. NOW)

Agreed. If you're planning a marathon, Citizen Kane will only zap all the energy of the mood and make you sleepy. I suggest watching it on another date. It really has no place in a marathon.

40 days 40 nights.
Definitely, Maybe.

Both awesome if you are having a girl over. I know this from experience.

For a smart movie I'd go for Beautiful Mind or The Prestige.
For something more educational: The Trade.

Don't miss out on these. Might feel boring at the beginning but in fact it's a real-life story that is actually more REAL and touching than anything the Hollywood has put out in the last couple of decades:

Arn the Knight Templar.
Arn, the Kindom At the End of It's Road.

Bit more serious Jim Carrey works also nicely:
Trueman show.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Have you seen the front page or tombstone, both excellant movies. Seriously go watch them, now, especially tombstone.

Stardust (you'll never look at Robert de Nero the same)

Waking Ned Divine (Waking Ned in England)

Dr. Strangelove (movie is a fucking classic)

Star Wars any of them.
You are going to get punched in the face by an Irishman in the very near future.

:(

Why? Is it because I said Waking Ned Divine was called Waking Ned in England?

I'm surprised you could find the Bakshi films, unless you were just planning to stream them off the internet.
Oh man, I just watched that one last night. I was a combination of horrified & ammused.

It was at the very end, round midnight. We were all sleepy by then.

Ooh, Kubrick :D

I have not seen Walking Ned, and I honestly have no clue what it is, so I'll pass there.

And by the way: really, man? Star Wars? Do you honestly think any nerd hasn't seen those films 20,000 times?

It doesn't matter if you've seen them 100,000 times they never get old and you never said you wanted ones you've never seen.
