Americans are probably a minority here, when will people realise this?
I'm from Sweden, like many here. We're (apparently) most know for Ikea, the nobel prize, vikings, hot women, meatballs, neutrality, being Swizerland, speaking norwegian and having polar bears. Not all those are true, can you guess which ones? Also, Swedes created Minecraft and are world champions at CS.

Finland doesn't have states, but I remember hearing it's roughly the same size as Texas.

Best known for, um... Nokia, saunas, santa claus' location for some, you tell me.

Michigan, Namely the U.P., and no we are not all inbred hicks who don't know anything. Far from it. I spose we are known for the great lakes, cherries, and cars.

as an aside, why do all the brits on here think USA is retarded and that they are far superior to us? it makes no sense.

Virginia, I guess we're where the south begins though if you came to my town you wouldn't even believe it was in the south. We also have some sort of internal civil war between the Southern and Northern regions that is waged via trashtalk.

Sarcasm duly noted and appreciated. The first thing I thought of when I saw the title was, "What about the people from outside of the US?"

Delaware. We used to be a state not known for anything, but lately a few crazies from this state have been getting some media attention... Hopefully this will blow over soon and my state can fade back into obscurity.

State?! How small minded! Oh... Country and Province, too... Sure, okay.

I'm from Gelderland, The Netherlands. (No, I'm not from Amsterdam, nor do I party every night or smoke pot.) I don't really know what my province is known for. Never tried to find out. :S I can say what The Netherlands is known for. (More than pot and parties! ) It's... their hospitality(?)

Yes we are.

I was actually born in New York but I'v lived in Connecticut since I was about 18 months old so I consider myself from CT.

City of Lappeenranta, Southern Karelia, Finland. Best known for the Fortress [http://www3.lappeenranta.fi/linnoitus/english/index.html] (used in wars between Sweden and Russia when our dear western neighbour was still a country of significance)
, one hella big saw/pulp/paper industry complex owned by UPM and being a lakeside city of the greater Saimaa with a canal connection to the sea.
