As much as I hate this design you do realize that ravens and starfires personalities on the show are almost nothing like they originally were.
what the heck did they do to Raven's costume (and Raven in general) in the new DC 52?

I'm not necessarily opposed to that design as such. She looks like a harpy or something, and it would work fine on some other character. Not Raven, though.
Also those don't look like breasts. It's the old thing with US superhero comics; somehow the characters are very sexualized while being completely devoid of sex.

Carol Danvers has moved on, and is now Captain Marvel. Which really, since the original Captain Marvel died ages ago, she should have taken that name long ago.

Not only is it a complete disservice to the character and readers who expect more effort put into those female characters (we're talking about comics here, I'm disappointed, but not surprised), it's also grossly uninspired.
Hey her name is Raven, lets just make her look like a busty super model who dressed up like a raven for Halloween, sexy costume and all! We'll even throw in some harpy influence from mythology, because that's certainly not been done a million times before.
