Grab a case of beer, some smokes, and a guitar, start a campfire somewhere, and pretend I'm in the Zone.

It usually depends on the weather. If it's because of a thunderstorm, I'll light up some candles, grab a bag of chips, and either play my DS or watch YT videos on my cell phone. If it's just because the city hates our house, which is usually the case, I'll go out and browse around some shops for a bit, maybe buy myself a treat if I have the money.

You didn't really think about number 2 did you...?

I get really bored and just try to do anything other than the obvious tasks such as doing my homework.

If the power ever goes out (which it does a lot 'round these parts) I ***** and whine like any self-respecting Winnipegger, in particular about how long it's going to take to reset all the various clocks within the house, followed by freaking out because absolutely everything I do is 100% dependent on electricity.

Go somewhere else. Seriously, if the power could be out for as long as three weeks, I'm grabbing my essentials and vacating until things are up and running again.

How did you make this thread with no power? And I will not accept charged laptop, friend's computer or internet cafe as a viable answer.

OT: Generally read or go hang out with friends. Lost power here before for 3 days, that's what I did then.

My power went out this morning. I broke out some limb-detachable knights I have and designed my own fatalities.

I get very bored in the morning.

Handhelds are a magical thing, my friend.

... when people complain about the power going out I snicker because I think they're just complaining that htey can't search the internet for porn:

I mean, there's so much more to do. I could read for days.

Read.
Write.
Draw.
Play the Base.
Get some gear and go camping, fish, and hunt.

You know, live a little.

I get my candles out, read a book, and when I had a gas cooker, I'd make a cup of tea on the hob.

Well, I've been through two huge blackouts (the one that knocked out 8 states and part of Canada for a day, and one that left Queens and parts of Brooklyn out for nine days), so here's what I did:
- Played outside
- eat all perishable foods before they went bad
- attempt to stay cool (both happened durring big heat waves)
- ***** to other people about the power being out
- watch as the decades old power lines catch fie and fall to the street (this for the nine dayer)
- boo Con Ed (huge electric company here) as they sat about with generators and didn't fix the problem (again, the nine dayer)
- play a portable gaming device until the batteries/charge runs dead
- go to someone who has power
- read

What don't I do. First off, I save everything I'm doing on my laptop and shut it down, and after that...

I have portable music with my mp3 player. I have my swords, nunchaku, and staffs to practice with, and without any distractions I can get some good practice in. I have my legos to play with and that's always fun. Then I have my chess boards, whether by myself or with someone they're always fun. And that's just inside. Outside, the skys the limit, though it's not always appreciated by the neighbors.

I can live without power quite happily.

I live in a shitty apartment complex and my power goes out ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Luckily, all of my neighbors take this as a cue to gather in the front lawn/ commons area. We then pool all of our booze and get wasted. Having a shitload of cool, friendly neighbors is awesome.
