What was the first anime you watched?

I'd seen a few minutes of a few different movies on the Sci-Fi channel before (they used to show a different anime movie every Saturday morning years ago), but the first anime I watched in its entirety was the original Ghost in the Shell movie; back in 1997 a friend of mine in high school just handed me the VHS and told me to watch it. Blew my mind.

Then again, I watched Voltron as a very young boy. I certainly had no awareness of anime back then, but I guess that would be the first.

Uchū Senkan Yamato, though of course I knew it then as Star Blazers. First saw it in 1979.

Starzinger I think it was. That and silverfang or whatshisname. Then it was Ghost in the shell when I was older. Shit, it was awesome, and still is. Still wonder why they made a remake.

The first I ever saw were probably Dragonball and Dragonball Z, but I never really counted those since they were thrown in with the rest of the early-morning cartoons I used to watch before leaving for school.
The first anime I ever saw that was branded as an anime and aimed at an older audience was Zeiram: The Animation. I remember watching it when the Sci-Fi Channel used to run Saturday Morning Anime.
The first anime I ever saw uncut and unedited was a copy of Akira that I rented.

<color=purple> I dunno....I recall Pokemon and Sailor Moon. Then Yu Yu Hakusho and DBZ. Oh and there was Card Captors! I loved that show!
Oh and then there was the old Adult Swim line-up. Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin and Trigun. God, Adult Swim used to be sooo epic.
