What was the first game you ever beat?

I think it was Mortal Kombat on the Master System II. I remember getting very excited reading about what happened to the characters. Can't imagine completing something now only to read about the ending!

IIRC, the first game I beat was Zork on the C64

Hey Hey Zork for me too. Then Pirates! The games I played before that didn't have endings you just kept playing until you had no lives left.

I think it was Super Mario Land for the Game Boy, if not then it was Jurassic Park also for Game Boy (god that was a hard game).

I think super mario 64 or mariokart 64, if you count beating a Grand Prix as beating a game. I was a young lad for NES and never beat any of those games.. (i got really close with ninja turtles)

My family didn't get a SNES but when we got the N64 I took gaming a little more seriously then.

Pokemon Blue, DOOM was the first game I ever played but it was way too scary to finish (I was like 7-8)...

Pokemon Blue. If you count beating the Elite Four and capturing Mewtwo, as "beating the game". If not then, Goldeneye maybe, or Star Wars Podracer for the N64.

The first game I beat was Pokemon Red, using Charmander. I beat the Elite Four, punched Gary's smug ass into submission, went through the end credits, caught Mewtwo with a Master Ball, and went on the catch Missingno a couple times.
