For me it would be Pok'e'mon Blue on the GBC. Good God I loved that game. Still do. =D

Also shout out to Halo for getting me into shooters.

And shout out to halo 2/3 for breaking my heart.

=(
Pokemon also for me along with crash bandicoot 2 along with mortal kombat and a host of other games for the PS1.....My mom and I would spend hours playing mortal kombat, my dad hated that I would play that game at such a young age.

It wasn't really one game but really these five games for the N64 console: Star Wars Shadows of the Empire, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Banjo Kazooie. If there ever was a golden age of gaming, I would have to say it was the days of the N64 and PS1.

it was probably alladin for the sega genesis. What got me into hard core gaming was probably a mixture of Okami, GTA San Andreas, and Shadow of the Colossus. Shadow taught me to give new games a chance, and that just because it is based on something i like, it does not necessarily make it a good game. Okami got me to appreciate games as art. And GTA, well it had cursing and violence, 13 year old me could not resist.

The first Super Mario Brothers got me started, which progressed to Donkey Kong Island, then to Final Fantasy II (SNES, actually IV).

Wow, Seems my threds gotten some attention.
Generally I like to get invloved with the topics I create and try to get some debate going within them.
Ive been away at a legal Conference in Warwick for a few days so I've not had the time to be able to get invloved in this, but it looks like I wasnt needed.
Hope people keep posting.
Thanks.

Disney's Donald Duck PK [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney%27s_PK:_Out_of_the_Shadows] was the first game I ever played on the Playstation 2. It was also the first game I've ever played all the way through, since I had only played game demos and the first level of adventure games on PC before that (couldn't get past that friggin' guard...).
Edit: Oh, and I had played some Super Mario and Goldeneye multiplayer on N64.

So yeah, that's the game that started the chain of events that would eventually make me the gamer you see today.
Yeah, I liked your post because it wasnt one of the obvious one. (Also because its a game I've played).
This is the kind of post that I want more of. The less obvious games.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Sucked me in immediately.
Hellz Yeah.

For 14 years, that was my favorite game. Only one game that I have ever played topped it.
