Far Cry 2,

I initially picked it up for the Map Editor, but I decided to give the Campaign a try.
After doing some rather boring missions I started to get annoyed by the fact that every single person you encounter tries
to run you off the road and murder you.

A couple of hours later I was killed after having to abandon my car for the umpteenth time that trip and just gave up.
The game had some neat ideas and mechanics, but exploring isn't fun if the only thing you'll find will be more murderers.
It makes the world your in seem very unpleasant.

This single flaw made it feel like I wasn't welcome to explore the world of Far Cry 2, so I took the hint and stopped playing.

*Insert flame shield* I think that was Chrono Trigger on the DS that my bro got me last Christmas. I don't know why, I guess I just lost interest and I couldn't prioritize myself when several side quests pop up before you face the final boss. I did a few but then some of them got harder and I couldn't figure out the order which sidequests I should played first or which to do next when finish one of them.

Well there are a lot of games I intend to go back and finish eventually, but the only one I don't want to finish is RDR. Marston handles like ass, the horse kills itself every chance it gets, Liar's Dice actually made me brake my brother's copy (still feel like shit about that) and the ending was spoiled.
I finished it more or less DESPITE all those things. Except I liked Liar's Dice. XD But otherwise, yeah, those are all huge problems with the game. Well, not the ending being spoiled. That's more a problem with people sucking.

Also, another annoying point:
"Do this quest for me ad I'll help you."
"Okay, but if you dick me around again, I'll kill you."
(One quest later)
"Do this OTHER quest for me and I'll help you."
"Okay, but if you dick me around again, I'll kill you."

On topic...

Well, I haven't finished Breath of Death VII or Cthulhu Saves the World yet. Oh, and I got sidetracked on Dungeon Defenders.

That's about it.

Level 15 - Clearing a path on Stronghold has temporarily defeated me. I beat it as a child but since then a patch has come out which makes it significantly harder. Stupidly fucking harder to be honest.

I just couldn't bring myself to keep playing Stalker Clear Sky or the WarCraft II expansion. I did not like Stalker enough to keep playing but it was a friends game so I doesn't bother me. For the Warcraft expansion I had played so much WarCraft that playing the expansion was like pulling teeth.

It's very seldom I don't finish a game. I beat StarCraft over a ten year time frame of playing off and on and the same with Thief.

Prince of Persia - Warrior Within. It took all the characters, designs and music I loved, and threw them out of the window so we had generic teen ragetastic hero, women with no character and minimal clothing, and generic fantasy art and design. I tried to hang in there with it, but I just felt more and more pushed away by the obnoxious elements that had pushed aside the stuff I had loved, until I just gave up.

Hmm... well I'm currently playing Half Life 2 (as in, I've played it for a couple of hours at the weekend) and I don't think I'll be finishing it. I don't know, it just seems a bit outdated compared to games from nowadays.

Also Ocarina of Time 3D for pretty much the same reason, it just doesn't seem to live up to current generation games.

So that's two hugely popular games I've decided aren't good enough to be completed, flame shield is up.

Dark Souls. No real reason. I think I just started playing something else at the same time, then got too absorbed into that and started playing that instead.
That and I'm at Blighttown at the moment. 'Nuff said.
There's a way to pretty much skip the majority of Blighttown. Just go through the Valley of Drakes. You can get to it if you go to the first bonfire in Darkroot Basin near where the Black Knight is. Just keep going down that tunnel and you will find an Elevator. Go down and when you get to the Valley of Drakes and hang a left. Keep following that cliff (You will have to get past a blue drake and an undead dragon. Both are somewhat easy to dodge.) and you will cross a bridge. There will be a tunnel that leads right into the end of Blighttown and Quelaag's Domain will be right down some ladders. Easy as shit. And if you're in Firelink you can go through New Londo Ruins which is a lot faster but requires the skeleton key.

OT: Deus Ex: HR, MorphX (My God that game was a fucking atrocity...), LOZ: Oracle of Seasons/Ages (Dunno why, just never did.), LOZ: Wind Waker (Had to give it back to the friend I borrowed it off of. Would totally buy it just to play it through to completion.)

So, so many...but the one I really want to finish is The Witcher 2. I really enjoyed what I've played of it, but for some reason I just can't get myself motivated to pick it up and finish it...

As with a lot of other people in this thread: The Witcher 2. I honestly thought it was just me considering how much godlike praise I've heard people give it. Anyways, I finished my first play through on Roach's path then started a second one with Yorveth then stopped. Weird thing was i was nominally pumped to get through it but decided to give myself a break and finish up Mass Effect 3 with the Extended Cut... Now for the life of me I cannot bring myself up to start Witcher 2 up again, i don't know why.

Skyrim.

I got about 25 hours of game out of it which is admittedly about 15 more hours than most elder Scrolls games so...success?

Yeah I just kinda ran out of giveashit.

May I ask what was broken about it?I finished the 360 version a couple of weeks ago and I can't recall any problems with it(Ludmilla?Lucilla?Whatever her name is she's a bloody pain)
Sorry, I meant the PC version. Should have said that a bit earlier, heh.
The controls were just awful, while it was an interesting concept, having your pointer move at a specific speed is really only useful on consoles where you can't 'snap' to specific places as you can with mice.

I think I got stuck on one where you're inside a volcano and just gave up after about fifteen tries.

And the whole 'if you fail you have to watch that same cutscene over again', I don't know if it's trying to mask as a loading screen or not, but it was worse than the mass effect 1 elevator 'scenes'.

Funny normally games where you control a pointer work better on PC.Wonder if it was designed for consoles first and then ported over?

The level inside the volcano is a ***** though. After failing it about a dozen times I looked up a video on youtube.Once you know what to do it's not bad.Beat it first time after that.I do agree about the cutscene.Very annoying having to watch it every time you restart

Shame the controls ruined it for you though. My only gripe(aside from the unskippable cutscene) was the A.I pathfinding which was a bit dumb at times but apart from that I really enjoyed it

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
I loved it, but for some reason I simply never played it again after the first few levels.

The Witcher. I found it enjoyable, but there was so much fucking pintling. Back and forth over that field in the first chapter was awful. It wasn't as bad in the city, but when I got back into the countryside I just gave up. Might get back into it eventually.

FEAR 3: I got bored after about 4 hours. Something I didn't get with the other 2 games.

Torchlight 1: It's just not my kind of game to put dozens of hours in. I at most play an hour or so at a time, and in total haven't gotten past the 4th or 5th level.

Resident Evil 4 and Killer 7. Picked them both up a generation late and got annoyed with that boss in the barn in RE4, and with that tedious level for the Sentai fight in Killer 7. Ended up watching the brilliant Chipcheezum and General Ironicus Let's Play, and had more enjoyment anyway.

Since then, Sonic 2k6. Sheer lack of talent, skill, patience, and masochism.

I have a pretty high completion record though. As in, those are the only games that I can remember not finishing.
