On the weekend I was digging around in the shed at my parents house and I found the box for my very first game console. It was a HT-767, a cheaper version of the Famicom (thus a Famiclone). I was about 3 or 4 when we bought it, and since then gaming has been a big part of my life.

The cartridge that came with it had 105 games. Old stuff like Mappy, DigDug, Circus Charlie, Joust, Fruit and Nut, Excitebike, Ice Climber... list goes on.

So Escapists, what was your first console, how old were you at the time and what was your first game?

Dreamcast, age 6ish? Sonic Adventure.

Good times. Had a PC for a while before that, though. Or rather, borrowed one frequently.

I shared a SNES with my brother, but 'my' first console and game were the Nintendo 64 and Super Mario 64, plus others.

My dad let me start playing his Sega Genesis when I was six. The first thing I learned to play was Sonic the Hedgehog (the first one), but my very first videogame that was bought for me was The Little Mermaid cartridge for said Genesis.

The Sega Master System when I was about five years old. It was my dads, and me and my mum used to play Prince of Persia together when he was at work. Ah, simpler times.

My first system was the N64, with the terrible classic only known as Chameleon Twist. Got it when I was around six-ish and I haven't looked back. What a world that was.

CD32 I guess, but first real console was PSX. If of course, we exclude things like Pong.

The first console I ever owned was an NES. Some of the first games I ever owned were Dragon Warrior and Wizards & Warriors. Oh, the memories...

Atari 2600. My uncle gave it to me... came with a lot of games, and my favorite was Centipede. I think I was 8 at the time.

I've been playing video games since I was 4, but the first console I ever actually owned was the original GameBoy (you know, that grey brick you could beat people to death with) at age 6, and my first game was "TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan".

At the age of 22, never had a console. My parents bought an Amiga around the time I was born so it wasn't specifically for me. And it is a PC, after all. That was the first system I played games like Rainbow Island, Terry's Big Adventure, California Games, Italy 1990, The Great Giana Sisters and so on...

I got my own PC at the age of 11. The first game for that was Colin McRae Rally. After that I've build several PC's, also for friends and relatives and some acquaintances.

I got a Playstation 1 to share with my seven siblings. I also got the game Croc.

I rather sucked at it, and my more fond memories are of playing Age of Empires 2 on the PC, with cheats on.
