18, PS2. Fond memories, good games, can't be arsed to go back and buy another with all my favorite games.

And my first game was Super Smash Bros. Ah, good times....

17, I had a Sega Genesis. My tiny 5-year-old brain wasn't that good at the games (I had Sonic 1-3, Space Harrier 2, Aeroblasters, and a few others) but I still had tons of fun playing them.

I'm 17 and I'm fairly certain that it's a Genesis. It's either that or a Playstation 1. Man, you could throw a PS1 down the stairs and it'd still work like it was straight out of the box.

I'm 23 and the first console that was genuinely mine was the Gameboy Pocket. Before that there was the NES, SNES and, Sega Genesis but those belonged to my Dad and, Step-dad respectively.

15. I started with the PS1 and the original Gameboy (both of which were my dads). I remember not being allowed to play Tomb Raider, so I just played Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.

The brick itself, the Gameboy. Awesome.

Closely followed by a Super Nintendo. Aladdin is fucking great.

Atari 2600 which I just knew should be better than any previous Atari because this was, well, the two thousandth six hundredth of them all!

For all I knew, the videogames had just reached their plateau.

I am 21 and my first system and only dedicated console was a Sega Genesis gifted by one of my aunts. My only other system was a GameBoy Advance gifted by another aunt.
I never bought one as I can't justify spending so much money on something that my PC can easily do while also doing several other things.
I am not against consoles but I just can't afford it.

I'm 49.

My first gaming system was a Sharp MZ80K. It was basically a more powerful clone of the Commodore Pet.

31 years old, first gaming experience with 8, some Atari, i belive, don't remember.

But my first gaming device of my own was a NES back in 1991.
Got it from my parents as a birthday gift, something they very soon regreted.
