I'm 25, my first gaming machine was a Commodore Amiga 1200. The first game I can recall playing was Nigel Mansell's World Championship, but Trolls and Worms were also amongst the first, as was a great game called Galaga, now available as Warblade on the iPhone.

I'm 20 and my first system was the Sega Megadrive and no I didn't play it when I was just born. We got it from a friend of my father's when I was 5 or 6. It was already rather old then but that didn't bother me, I still enjoyed it a lot and I still have. What amazes me, is that it's still working even after 20 years. I still start it up sometimes when I want to play Golden Axe or something like that.

18, and it was the gameboy colour and pokemon red. And my only memory of that game was QQing at how the creators sucked at making pokemon with two types strengths and weaknesses against types cancel out. After that game, Playstation, with Rat Attack! - my memory being of exploiting the game to get an absurd high score. Aaah, back when I was better at games.

It pisses me off that I can't remember my first console :p
I'm 15 and it was either a PS1 or a SNES, I think it might be PS1 though, the first game I got with that was, get ready for it.

*clears throat*

"Craaaash Baaaash!" *cue title music*

Man I loved that game.
So did I. I loved that one crystal challenge on Future Bash where you couldn't pick up the explosive crates, you could only kick them so that they'd destroy the floor. We called it TNT soccer. Good times.
You're awesome for bringing back awesome memories hahah, you made me remember the little game where you had to charge each other of the iceberg :D that was tense.

Too old. My first was a ZX spectrum, which I still have! It still runs, though quite badly.

Good ol' cassette tapes.

I'm 24. My very first gaming system was a Sega Genesis. I would play Sonic 2 for hours.

I'm 21 and I think the Amiga was the first system my folks owned that played games. Lemmings ftw! After that was my Sega Genesis.

I'm 22. First system was either an Atari 7800 or a NES. We had both at the same time but I don't remember which one we got first.

18. NES. The way it was meant to start.
Anybody who has never played some of those classics should seriously go and do so.

2nd game system: Gamecube - yeah, that was a freaking awesome jump in graphics tech for me.

Totally possible, you're older than me but my first was NES.
My parents bought it and enjoyed it.
Then I was born and they shared it with me when I grew old enough to play it.

I'm 26 and my first gaming system was the NES (the original Nintendo for all you young'uns out there), back in the days of wired controllers, cartridge based games, no save files or rumble/vibration features.
WRONG Zelda had a save.....a save that broke on occasion and would delete itself but a save some days lol.
That was most likely to happen if you didn't turn off the game the right way. The safest way was to go to the title screen and quit the game from there. Otherwise you risked corrupting the save file.

I'm 16 and my first game system was the Playstation 1, unfortunately I had no idea how to use it :p I only really got the hang of gaming on the Playstation 2.
