Aw how I wish I knew about System Shock 2 when I was young. I'm trying to find where I can buy it, ever since I heard it was like the original Bioshock.
You'll probably find it a bit of a (forgive the pun) shock to the system if/when you find it. They don't really play similar, nor are there any similar aspects to the games, they just seem... similar in their aesthetics (everything decaying around you) and interaction (everyone being dead and you looting dead bodies).
That being said the game is very good, and incredibly creepy/scary - the dated graphics perhaps add to the grotesque as your brain fills in the blanks.
OT: Err... either Wolf3D or Doom, I believe both were on a mass shareware disk that my granddad got back in ~1993, so whichever I loaded up first. That being said these games are rated '15' in the UK, with there being one higher rating '18'. My first '18' game would have probably been GTA+GTA:London combo.
