As for threads actually discussing topics and not reviews I've only made like 4 all my time here at The Escapist and I think this one [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.105776?page=2] is the most successful of those.

It took me forever to create my first thread, can't even remember what it was about so it mustn't have been that great.

I made my first thread around my 50th post or so. It was called, "Defend Youself" and it was a forum game where you had to solve the scenario above you and give one of your own.

EDIT: I just looked at it and noticed that it went on for 17 pages :O

My first thread was shortly after 100-something posts: it was asking if anyone here used Hammer, and if they knew any neat tricks to try. It got no responses

But my most successful? I dunno, I don't really make any threads here save for my reviews. My most successful one was one for Mirror's Edge(I think). The last one was for Indigo Prophecy/Farenheight (depends where you live), and that didn't get much attention. Only 90 veiws. But I shall press on

My most successful thread was on the Left 4 Dead forums. I suggested the melee fatigue thing a while ago, and it just now got implemented. It had something like 3,000 views and maybe a hundred or so comments.
