Super Mario Rpg when I was in kindergarten.

I memorised the starting XPs of every character, the health of most monsters, how to time every attack, where to find every treasure chest. All of it without a walkthrough.

Pretty damn good for a kindergarten kid.

Shining Force II on the Megadrive, there were some amazing 16 bit RPG's, well worth a revisit.

Ditto on Genesis, fantastic series.

Like probably 97% of gamers, mine was Final Fantasy 7. I've tended to go backwards and play games I missed out on the first time around. I'm slogging my way through Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall right now (thanks for the freebies, Bethesda). Man, are those games huge.
