What weapon/enemy is your nemesis?

I'm sure all of you have experienced a weapon or enemy in a game that's the bane of your existence and continues to stop your progress etc, etc. What is it for you?

For me, it's the Fuel Rod Gun from Halo. In past games it wasn't too bad, but now the rate of fire seems to be increased and it's carried by everyone and their dog. Grunts are the worst with them by far though.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on that one. That weapon is so annoying. It seems like it does more damage as well as an increased rate of fire.
Another thing I hate a lot is the deathclaws from the original Fallouts and the enclave soldiers with the heavy incinerator in Fallout 3.

I know your pain - especially regarding Legendary difficulty.

For me though it's those damn Elites with their Concussion Rifle, which when you manage to pry from their cold, dead fingers seems to lose it's awesome destructive power when you turn it on them.

Bastards.

I still think being spawn camped by a bunch of Grunts with Fuel Rod Guns in Firefight is horrible.

i know this sounds stupid but the terrorist that throws at your convoy from the balcony in MW2. seriously it took me so long to do that mission because it said i was killing "civilians"

Shotguns, I consider them to be thuggish weapons, whats worse is in my online game of choice KillZone 2 the shotgun is a fucking monster of a weapon, I would call it the best weapon in the game but I will not use it because I fucking hate its very being.

Single player nenemis?, gotta be exploding enemies upon death.

I swear, I have been traumatized by those things. Everything is all happiness and joy until out of the middle of nowhere, you suddenly hear that ominous ssshhhhhh and you know you have about half a second to run as far as you can before you suddenly explode.

It's even worse when one walks into your house right behind you when you are closing the door.

Feral Ghoul Reavers in Fallout 3. The fact that whenever they start spazzing out all your bullets just pass right through them is a massive pain.

I was going to say fuel rod grunts as well. Also enemy archers who use scattershot in Dragon Age. Enough of them can stunlock your party and kill you with impunity.

Snipers I cant use them for shit and it seems the more I try to avoid getting shot the faster I die

More recently: Jockeys in L4D2. The sole special infected that I cannot regularly beat with relative ease.
I watched one tank 4 Desert Eagle shots and teleport onto my face just the other day in fact.
