What will you name your children?

If it's a boy, I'm leaning towards either Gerhard or Wolfram. You know, something that sticks out, but with dignity and is an actual name. Otherwise, dunno.

I'd probably be naming them after different deities:
Female: Athena, Inanna, Anahit, Minerva
Male: Taran, Apollo, Ares
...Yeah, I think my kids are going to hate me, provided my wife even goes along with it.

Conversely I've thought about video game names:
Female: Ashley, Fiora, Clementine, Elizabeth
Male: Leon, Garrus, Shulk
...Something tells me this is what I'll be forced to go with.

On the side though, I've always liked the name Ariella or Ariel for a girl.

Hmm... my number one picks would be Emma for a girl, Sean for a boy. In all fairness, my partner would also be allowed a say in picking names, and as I doubt I'd go for a whole bunch of kids, it's unlikely to get further than that. Sam would probably be a good choice too, for either gender.

For some reason I quite fancy the name Artyom, but mainly because I'm a sap for Metro 2033's moral.

I like the name Anna for a girl, don't know why. I just think it's nice, and simple. That, or Frank, y'know, fastest way to get your child to change their name.

I'd name my hypothetical daughter Angie, after the Rolling Stones song. I don't know what I'd name my son, except that I'm not going to name him after me.

Gray Worm, to remind him that he is vermin and nothing more.
I have enough extended family that I need not worry about spreading my own seed. Besides, with my odd medical allergies, if a child of mine ever became seriously ill they would be nigh untreatable.

What's so bad about Frank? It's a pretty ordinary name.

OT: For a son: Neil, Jason, and Jacob sound pretty good to me. For a daughter: Charlotte, Anna, or Autumn. (One of these things is not like the other, I know, but I've always thought it would be a nice name.)

I am infertile so my only option is pre-named adoption, but if through some miracle of modern medicine I get to have someone growing inside me, they will be named Superfly, regardless of gender. Obviously I don't have much confidence in modern medicine.

First born son will most likely be named after myself.
My uncle (elder son) is a Jr, his son is the 3rd, his son is the 4th. I'm a Jr, my son will be the 3rd.

As for a daughter... Not sure, but I am partial to Winry.
Madwarper Jr.? Sounds lovely. :3

OT: If I wasn't going to adopt, in which the child usually comes pre-packaged with a name (and day-one DLC. ALWAYS day-one DLC!), then I would definitely name a girl Brynhild after the Valkyrie in my favorite epic poem "Sigurd the Volsung and the Fall of the Niblungs". Obviously I would just call her "Bryn" for short, since I live in a Western culture and they are quite ignorant to such things; plus Bryn sounds pretty cool on its own anyway.
For a boy... I don't know... Lil' Skittles? Appropriated from Crendor's star player on his team of lizardmen in Blood Bowl. :p

For boys: Gabriel, Damian, Desmond, Alistair (unlikely because a family member already has that name), Orson, Gerald, Edward, Samuel.

For girls: Ameilia, Elizabeth, Kristen, Rachel, Abigail, Cassandra, Miranda, Katherine.

For trolling: Cornelius Remington Finkledorf for either gender. And that is just the first name.

I only have boys names in mind. I am a lover of ancient history, so I have two fairly unique names in mind.

Julius. It's a cool name, rare in this day and age.
and Pharaoh. It's a smooth cool name. Only problem is its a ***** to spell so it may need some tweaking.

A Norse reference, either Baldur, Freyr, Odin, or Erik... with the middle name Bloodaxe. Maybe Haakon. Or John.
Females: Freyja, Sif, Thurid. Or Lisa

Steer clear of Fafnir. You know how cruel kids can be...
Then again, if he's named Fafnir, he'll probably tear the arms off the broken-home child who thought he was so clever for coming up with "Fap-queer".

I, for one, refuse to name my kid after something from a video game, or a movie, or any particular fandom I like. Or after any values I hold, or any figures I look up to. I find the idea rather appalling--your child isn't a living receptacle for all of your interests, and nor are they a living reference to every TV show and video game you love. They are an autonomous human being, and if they want their name to reference something then they can choose what they want and do it themselves.

Anyway, now that I've got that off of my chest, I'm rather partial to the name Sophie. Not Sophia, just Sophie. It's not a typical Christian name, but not hard to spell like Cheyenne or stupid like La-ah (pronounced "la-dash-ah").

Me and my girlfriend said that if we have kids we come to an agreement, I choose the names for boys, and she chooses for girls. Thus, my choices for male names are:
Durante(Dante), Coinin, Bastion and Viktor.
My girlfriend's name choices for girls are:
Melody, Natalie, and Lyla

....Yeah, our kids might be a bit bullied unless we manage to raise them awesome.

I'd name my son after my grandfather, Rex. But I do like Tobias as well.

I wouldn't name my daughter, I'd just sell her on the black market. I don't want a girl!
