Also, colonial India where you play as a Khalsa Sikh who really takes the "never bow to tyranny" and "you are a defender of the oppressed and innocent" bits to heart.

None. Do not follow the trend of games that turn into over 9000 games and quit while your ahead!

And if they do make another game they need to make Desmond the main protagonist!

whenever steampunk takes place, you know, the uncanny valley between the industrial revolution and a marching band.

what? anything after 1850 is way too modern. I think they should go back even further. Maybe during the height of the Roman Empire? Or Egypt before the invasion.

Russian revolution, I'd like. Or russia in the 19th century. The architecture will be a new thing to the AC series. Just think about it.

EDIT:

Russia, just after they retreated from the front line and the revolution begins. That would create many good opportunities, due to the power imbalance and many people vying for control.

And Brunel can make you gadgets. Giant, 20-ton coal-fired gadgets made of cast iron.

The industrial Revolution would be interesting.

I'd probably go with:

The War of 1812

or any other war from that time period.
Which war of 1812? The one with France or America?
The one where we burned the White House. Incidently, that would have to be a mission.
That would be pretty cool, actually. (Sorry D.C.!)
That would mean the Assassin's are also Canadian

We burned it down gooooood

OT: Japan or the Romance of the 7 Kingdoms (China) would be epically awesome

(although the 7 Kingdoms would be stepping back in time i think ...oh well)
You guys burned it, not burned it down.

French Revolution. I mean, there was literally blood running down the streets of Paris then, I'm sure UbiMont could get away with throwing in some assassinations there.

You could also assassinate Robespierre... with a guillotine!

"Would you kind place your head here?"
"Porquoi? Et qui vous est?"

Don't forget, the way this series is going and Ubisoft's nationality the entire motherfucking game would be in French.
It`d actualy be "et qui Êtes vous?" assuming you mean "who are you?" anyway they handwaved this in the other 2 instalments remember by saying the Automatically translates or some such bullshit anyway the french revolution would be an interesting time to set the game ,any further and with the onset of modern building techniques you may have trouble explaining why a large number of bricks are just left hanging out of a building when it fails to comply with safety regulations but they`ll most likely set in a bit of both ,with the bleeding effect leading to Desmond re-living the memories of his ancestors who put the apples where they are now as he goes along stabbing Abstergo in the face really hard

isnt AC3 supposed to be taking place in modern day? cause you know how AC2 is teaching him how to become a good assassin? I mean how stupid would it be to learn all the skills and not be able to use them in real life?
