I will quit when there are no more titles that I am interested in. I am actually on the verge of quitting now, but there are still some titles on the PS3, 360, and PSP that I must play one day.

Nothing. Even if games reach stoopid money, I'll just play last gen games. Just 'cus they inflate the prices doesn't mean we have to shit out.

*Nods head in disappointment* People are so easily manipulated.
Polls also show that 7% of Escapists have partners...

If all games became downloadable only and still cost 70$ Hell I probably wouldn't quit even then. I'd just pirate them.

When developers give up on trying to make games enjoyable and spit out random crap to be consumed by undiscriminating masses. Hold on a tick. Um. Never mind.

A life, most likely.
If I ever manage to get my hands on one of those, I'll probably forget about gaming forever.

That or something more interesting.
Like, say, a box of kitten-puppies.
Or a position as king of the universe.

What would make you quit gaming altogether?

for me, i would quit once games reach 70 bucks and if virtual reality gaming steps in...oh wait
Games are $100 here - that's when they're not overpriced. Wolfenstein is curently on shelves at $140 if you can believe that - which at the current exchange rate is $104.70 USD.

(and I've yet to meet a girl who would actually want to spend an evening indoors with a video game).
I have a couple of female friends that I literally have to wrestle with to get them to come eat something. And God help me if they're playing GTA or WoW.

Don't give up hope!! I've heard that soldiers play games in their off time. Unless you're going to boot camp, to which I offer you my condolences.

Losing all my limbs followed slowly dying in a hospital

That would probably stop me, seeing as I would be heavily sedated.

Losing all limbs, and stories are no longer required, and the industry feeds up colorful bile, which involve you tapping "A' every hour as you walk down a hall. A VERY pretty hall, but a hall nonetheless.

7 percent? Here? I IZ DISSAPOINT!

But in all seriousness, nothing really makes me quit except my own judgement. And hunger. And sleep deprivation.

Girl- "It's gaming or me..."
Myself- "welp, looks like I gotta find a girl that likes gaming too then... or at least understands me a bit better then to do that. Bye!"
