When Gaming finally just becomes the movie that you press buttons to watch.

Or when my motivation to actually get my web-comic off the ground kicks in.

The first one is more likely to happen.

Hmmm, not sure if anything would make me quit it altogether, unless the standard for games significantly drops and there's only a few games released a year that are well done and worth the price. Oh wait...

Games are $100 here - that's when they're not overpriced. Wolfenstein is curently on shelves at $140 if you can believe that - which at the current exchange rate is $104.70 USD.
holyyyyy shittt... NO SERIOUSLY wtf!? is this after a game tax of some sort or is to to pay for all the people that die because of video games or something!?

Then you're not going to be around much longer, friend.

I will quit when games like Call of Duty completely consume the industry.

I think even fans of Call of Duty would quit if that happened. Gotta have variety.

A survey [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.130085] shows that 7% of The Escapists would quit gaming if their partner asked them to.
*Nods head in disappointment* People are so easily manipulated.
That's been tried on me and I laughed. Hmmm I wouldn't altogether I sometimes stop playing for month's then I'll just start again (It's kinda like smoking)
If I chick tried to get me to stop playing games I'd dump her. No hesitation.

Gaming is a stress coping mechanism for me at this point. I find myself reaching for my DS before exams.

I doubt I'll stop, if gaming gets ridiculously expensive(i.e. anything more than what Steam charges) I'll start a gaming hippy collective, we all make games, only for us.
I'll join

I would say that i would stop gaming should the medium become a place where games no longer have a relevant story line or something like that.

I usually stop playing a series of games when they throw the lore out the window. Like what WoW is doing in the up coming expansion.

I will never quit gaming altogether. Even if it's only board games with my children, I will still game. Even if it's only sudoku on my lunch break, I will still game. Even if it's just RPGing through my daydreams, I will still game.

If motion controls take over 100%. I have no interest in flailing around in every game, I play games to relax not to work up a sweat and stress out. Even if that were the case, I'd stick to classic games, not much different than what I do now anyway.

(and I've yet to meet a girl who would actually want to spend an evening indoors with a video game).
I have a couple of female friends that I literally have to wrestle with to get them to come eat something. And God help me if they're playing GTA or WoW.

Don't give up hope!! I've heard that soldiers play games in their off time. Unless you're going to boot camp, to which I offer you my condolences.
I'm not saying girls that play video games don't exist. I'm simply stating that I have never actually met them face to face.

And, soldiers do still play video games. I managed to find time to play while deployed to Iraq, as did many others. Granted, your desire to play video games tends to dip because of the slow build of fatigue.

Honestly I have no idea. This of course makes Steam a godsend, (at least when the exchange rates work in my favour.)

I don't know...if I don't have the time anymore, but we'll need to see when that happens! XD I'll still find a way to game sometime in the day or before I go to sleep at night. I'm not a huge gamer, but I still like my video gaming.

If they revived the virtual boy and made good games exclusively for it, then I'll go on the warpath.

The only thing that would stop me from playing games would be a global emp bomb that destroyed all electronics.

The Zombie Apocalypse. Even then, I'll probably be on the lookout for a war-vet, a black guy, and a college-age brunette to complete my party.
