Start to wonder why in England I have found a wallet with 1000 dollars in.

But regardless of the currency I'd turn it in to the police, it belongs to someone and they've hopefully worked to earn it.

EDIT: I mean working as opposed to stealing it or something.

I would check inside for any kind of contact or way to identify the owner. Assuming that failed, I would turn it in to the police.

I would want to take it, loot the money then return the wallet to the owner but, without a doubt a niggling little voice would be saying what is stated above, if I ignored it and took the money anyway, I would feel guilty until I set it right.

That might not be a good Idea... If some money is gone its quite likely that you took it...
But if all of it is gone then its likely that someone else found it before you and took the money... after all who would take 200 and leave 800 without returning it...

Im really tired and that may have made no sense....

OT: I would take all the money and pretend it was empty when I found it. If there is an ID in it, Id find the guy... If not, then I'd return it to the nearest authority figure... Eg. Security gaurd if it was at a shopping centre.

What do you do?

Does it have proper ID, because if it did then I would most likely return it and then go home and yell into a pillow for doing the right thing but regretting the opportunity to spend the money.
