I'm not one to speak out against the Beatles or the singing of Beatle's songs, but Honey Pie? Do you want (who are we singing to?...oh yeah) the one you love to run away screaming? I mean, the lyrics are easy enough to remember, but I'd almost rather hear nails scraping a chalkboard.

...Not that you were going to sing it to me or anything...I'm just saying...

"And when he left us he said, "It's not so bad"
That ************ he took everything we had
And when I'm thinking back, I'm counting all the ways
Nobody helped us so we dreamt of better days
And we sang: "Yeah that's just the way that it goes"
We used to be in love, my love!, but now we're just in like
And we broke all our promises and baby that ain't right
Because you don't (take it back, take it back 'cause you don't know)
know what it's like (take it back, take it back 'cause you don't know what it's like to)
to lose it all (be on the receiving end of it all)
No! no! You were not on the receiving end of it all...

Oops. Didn't really think that one through. That was a really bad choice. Oh well..I've got a bunch more.

The first girl I had a relationship with was initiated because my buddy blackmailed me into serenading her outside her house. In the end, he did me a favor because she was impressed, and things went well from there, but none the less, it was the most uncomfortable experience of my life.

Song of choice? Everything by Lifehouse, because 1) it's probably the prettiest ballad ever written in my eyes and 2) it was the only song on the guitar that I could play at the time that didn't sound fucking awful.

YES. I would totally love anyone who sang this to me; I apparently greatly value a sense of humor. Unless it were true, in which case I might be a bit alarmed.

I don't know what I'd sing to the one I love. Maybe "If I Didn't Care" as performed by Amy Adams or "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" as performed by Nancy Sinatra. Or "My Freeze Ray" from Dr. Horrible.

Now I feel sorry for anyone I ever fall in love with.

Mine would have to be Talor Swift's song, Love Story. I just think it's a really beautiful song and sums up my own feelings perfectly.
Hope you all like it as much as I do :)
Ooh, amazing song. And any guy with enough bottle to sing that is simply awesome.

Personally, I'd probably end up singing something he liked. Which, looking at most gamers taste in music, will probably be rock or metal.
Glad to see someone else here likes that song :) Last time I posted a link to it, I ended up being flamed... That said, I quite like rock myself, though I'm mainly more into Indie Rock. Mostly indie from the north of England, US indie and southern UK indie just doesn't compare to it's brethren in it's true home... :)
I thought up there you all just listened to Rap and Hip Hop, y'know, like chavs.....
Nope. That said, I'm a Midlander, I just live up north at university. I've got a friend from Liverpool who just listens to Dance all the time though... but no. The true birthplace of indie was the north of England, and that is where it's true home will always lie. That said, I don't mind other indie too much... :)
So what counts as indie then? I've never really heard much indie music, unless I just couldn't tell what it was.
Technically, indie is simply anything that deviates from major producers, labels, publishers, etc. An indie film is generally a film made without a big Hollyood or equivalent studio backing you, you'll have a minimalistic budget and so on. Indie music is simply music made by people who aren't really signed to any major record label, they may have formed their own or be unsigned completely. Indie games are similar too. Indie is basically a DIY approach to media of any kind, without backing from the industry big guns. However, despite the fact you can pretty much call anything that follows this pattern 'indie', indie music generally follows a particular style, you have different types, like indie rock, indie pop, indie punk, and so on. Bands like Vampire Weekend, The Wombats, The Enemy, The Zutons, Maximo Park and the like are all indie rock, pretty much. Leeds and Sheffield are the main places in the north for indie, but you get some good stuff from all over too :)

Henry Lee by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Presumably anyone I was in love with would me as screwy as I, and would enjoy songs about murder by pj harvey.

That's way more poignant to me and my boyfriend than I ever realized until just now... so I have to thank this thread for inspiring me to find it. It sums up our relationship perfectly.
