I don't see why it gets so much love...Croc had some of the worst controls ever. Super Mario 64 came out first, and Crash Bandicoot(the first one) was already out, both with much tighter controls. They, in my opinion, had better graphics as well. I just remember Croc to be very clunky, and even though I liked playing it when I was 8, its still nothing worth having a nostalgia trip over.
I vaguely remember Croc. I had a demo on an old disc from Playstation magazine. It was fun but for some reason I never got the full game. Looking back I wouldn't mind having it now. Time to make a trip to my local retro games store!
Croc currently resides in Lame Mascot Hell along with Vexx, Aero the Acrobat, Punky Skunk, Rocky Rodent, Frantic Flea, Kao the Kangaroo, the last incarnation of Pitfall Harry, and that blue tribal guy from some early Xbox game.
He did that tail spin for too long, got dizzy and fell off a cliff.
It was for the best really, they'd probably only make the games worse and worse.
I liked the first one but never played the second one. Apparently it was quite bad...
Oh, wow, I almost completely forgot about this game. Sadly, I fear that Croc was kidnapped and taken into an abandoned factory to be turned from an enjoyable platformer into those God-awful Crocs. Lord rest his poor soul.
