The most important thing on my iPod is the ROckbox firmware. I finally managed to turn it from an expensive iTunes ad into an actual MP3 player...

Other than that, it contains my complete collection of digitised music, which consists of a mostly random mix of very different styles. My current primary playlist provides me with music by the following awesome people:

Ladytron - I can't really describe their style as anything else than "Ladytron-like".
Pendulum - basically Drum&Bass, with lyrics often touching the SF area
Krypteria - Awesome metal band which I first saw in the CD department of a store in my hometown. A few weeks after they were "official".
Life Of Agony - you probably know them
Tarja - in retrospect, it's probably a good thing she left Nightwish. Her own lyrics seem to have a higher chance of making sense
Dido
Goldfrapp

(If you don't know the last two, I'd like to know where you lived the last few decades)

About half my songs, or less. My ipod ain't workin too well anymore, so I don't bother with it. And no, I can't afford a new one.

Huge variety of metal, a lot of this band called Katzenjammer, a lot of classic rock (especially Toto, but shut up they rock), some techno, some soundtracks, and a couple songs from musicals. Also, Jay-Z and NWA.

Various sub genres of punk. I found out that all the songs (except one) are one kind of punk.

Lamb of God
DevilDriver
3 Inches of Blood
Ammon Ammerth

Classic rock, alternative rock, indie, metal, progressive rock pretty much sums up my musical taste. Some of my favorite artists are Radiohead, The Beatles, Muse, Rush, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, Porcupine Tree, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, and Tool.

A good chunk of it is metal and classic rock. I have a lot of Daft Punk on here, there's occasionally a rap song here but not very many and mostly from Eminem. I have a lot of alternative rock like Green Day and Three Day's Grace. I have maybe 2 R&B songs on here, there's a ton of Micheal Jackson on here too. Oh, and I've got quite a bit of Elton John.

That pretty much covers it.

Every Anamanaguchi album made, some songs from Newgrounds (mostly xkore's work), a few game soundtracks, Lady Gaga's "Pokerface", and a few Queen songs. The rest of my ipod is littered with apps I barely use.

Mostly alt rock. Anberlin, Breaking Benjamin, Rise Against and Three Days Grace make up the bulk of it.

Although there's a wide variety on there the majority is classic rock, alt rock and indie

For example, my favorite bands are the Pixies, REM, the Relacements, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and Arcade Fire

There's also a liberal smattering of classic hip hop, folk, some country and soul/classic r'n'b
