What's so great about skinny women?

I'm not a fan of super skinny women, but that video showed women on the border of where I would say "Your too skinny". Depending on their height. I'm in a complicated relationship with a 5 foot tall, 90 pound girl. That might seem gross, but shes short, so the skinnyness doesnt look as bad and she never tried to weigh that much, she eats way more then I do at meals, she just has smaller parents. (I'm 5'5 1/2 and 115ish.) (Also, she's 19 and I'm 20)

So if those women were taller then 5'5 then those women would be kind of nasty skinny.

Let's all be honest here. Big fat fatties are just as nasty as anorexics. A woman, unless in some sort of body building/combat profession, should weigh no more then 150/180 depending on height. (Assuming average of 5'5, where in smaller women should weigh less) A woman, unless 7 feet tall, should not get anywhere close to 200 pounds.

In short, no fatties.

"Attractive" and "beauty" are subjective. The reasons you may find skinny girls unattractive may be the reason another dude gets hard as a diamond for them. Sometimes dudes just like them thin like that. Maybe fat(or even average) girls just turn them off. Sometimes its not the body that attracts them, but its their face or their personality.

Care to share your thoughts on why you don't find thin chicks attractive? As long as you follow the rules, who gives a shit if they're harsh.

Some of the girls in the video were too skinny; others were fine. Slim women are nice because it's weird to have a girl who's heavier than I am.

I like skinny girls because I like to hold onto hip bones. I like to grab arms and feel muscle or bone. I like to pick girls up. I cannot lift someone over about 125 pounds. (I have no upper body strength.)
To me, skinny chicks look better without clothes on. Very little body fat is sexy to me. I like to feel my fingers tracing something hard, tight, and firm.
And on the dominant side, it is easier to push around (intimately of course) a size 1 than a size 10.

I remember seeing or reading a thing once that said that it was to do with your perceived position in society. Classically white overweight was considered high class and attractive as normal people were skinny and tanned from working in the fields. Then with the industrial revolution the poor moved to factories and grew fatter and whiter, while the rich had time to sit around tanning or exercising. Or something like that

Personally I find fit girls to be the best. It makes me honestly gag when a jello legs girl is walking around in hot pants. Some of the girls in that video were definitely underweight. A skeleton is not attractive. But most of them in that video were fit and fine.

I think it depends. Some girls don't look bad if they're naturally skinny. Some girls look really gaunt and starved, especially if they've been on a crash diet.
I personally think it's better to have a bit more meat on your bones, but those girls were pretty too.
This is coming from a larger girl... I'd hate to be skinny because all I hear is "OMG, skinny gurlz are so disgusting!1!!" Those poor lasses, they must feel awful. I know I do when I see someone slag off a celeb for going up to a size 10...

Personally bigger, rounder and firmer will ALWAYS trump smaller, flatter and mushier...

I've been with women who were beautifully curvy and then 'felt the need' to lose 20~30 lbs...they couldn't figure out why I didn't find them attractive anymore...

Funny you should mention that. I overheard a conversation not so long ago, when I heard one guy say "I reckon all people should be treated the same, no matter their colour or class. Except fat people, they don't deserve it". I'm guessing he just thinks anyone overweight is that way simply because they stuff their face. (How many skinny people stuff ther face, but it's fine because their body handles it differently?) Not to mention extreme excess weight makes someone a target, but extreme underweight prompts sympathy? .. You can probably tell this subject really winds me up.

While that guy is obviously a dick, he's sort of right. Look the amount of fat people out there who are fat because of a physiological or genetic reason is tiny as a percentage of the total. It is fair to say that the majority of them are fat because they do not burn as many calories as they consume. That's not to say that they they ate all the cake but rather they may live on a diet of healthy well balanced food but it'll still get you fat if you don't burn the calories off.

I don't condone picking on fat people at all but I don't think they should get any special treatment either.

I dont know but somewhere in Britain the idea the was if you were larger around, your family was more well off cause you could AFFORD to eat rather then just choosing to not to. Then once economic classes started to shrink and you could eat more the idea of being thin meant you were different and the rich took it as popular cause they didnt want to be associated with the poor.

It seems we havent yet reached the idea that big is beautiful yet again, though with women like Queen Latifah around that idea may be changing soon.

...I love how some folks can't tell the difference between skin and bones, and lean muscle... as evidenced in the video the OP linked. Around 75% of those women were just undernourished, the other 25% were fit and (to me, at least) attractive.

...I also love how so many people's answer to "too skinny" is "make her fat".
There's such a thing as lean muscle mass, people, and those who have it tend to eat more (and more healthy) food than fat people.

I'm really turned off by skinny girls, to be honest. Not that I find fat people particularly attractive either, but there's a lot of middle ground. That's just me and I never judge people based on that. Physically, yeah, I have preferences, but that doesn't interfere with me meeting new people, enjoying their company and maybe something more, be they skinny or fat.

However, it kind of depresses me that we still talk about things like this...

Because the question doesn't need answering. You do not have credible criticism on this matter and neither do I have any on your preferred answer, whatever that may be. I just feel attracted to slim (not necessarily skinny) women, that's just the way it is. I don't know why and I don't care why.

Yeah it kinda does need answering. Women are killing themselves and falling into ruts of depression over this.

Personally, the girls in that vid (or at least as far as I watched) looked fine (some very fine indeed) and I think it's appalling the number of people who leap on the chance to leave comments like "Shove some god-damn burgers down you". If you wouldn't insult someone for their hair or skin colour, then don't insult them for their weight. Yes, anorexia is a problem. But simply being thin doesn't prove a person has it. You don't know anything about the women in that video beyond how they look in one photo. It's not for you to judge them.

Like Spacebat said: I like skinny women (within reason) because I think they look beautiful. I can't explain it any more than I can explain why I like women with very short hair. I guess I find large breasts and hips quite intimidating (being a skinny and small-busted woman myself).

Different people have different tastes, and the world is a better place for it.

Superficially, I find slim girls to be attractive. Once I get to know a girl though, I care less about what she looks like, and more what she acts like. But the girls in your video are not slim, they are borderline skeletal, which is really fucking gross in my mind.
I really feel sorry for the girls in 1st world society that get so much pressure to be skinny because it is "attractive" that they change how they are, just to be something they are not. I know way too many girls with great personalities, great bodies, that torment and abuse themselves, just to get to that "perfect body".

What is so great about the girls in that video? They are societally accepted as attractive.
But they are not attractive at all, and as someone that really hates most of society, they probably will never be attractive to me.

i think it's kind of funny that so many women think they have to be skeletons (ok, they're handy after all; you can hang your jacket on their spina iliaca anterior superior hip), but i do not know even one guy who says "skeletons, yay! haaawt!"

i think it just looks... unhealthy. and it has to hurt when you're humping. and if i wanted to count ribs, i'd check a skeleton-model.
i don't like touching those skinny jeans either; feels awkward. and aren't you just afraid of accidentally breaking her arm or whatever when you touch it? xD

it also makes sense to not find those anorectic women attractive from an evolutionary point of view i guess - how is someone so thin supposed to allow a fetus, your offspring, to grow and develop properly?

nature must have thought the same, what with amenorrhea, a fucked up hormone balance and thus (sort of) infertility.
