Funny you should mention that. I overheard a conversation not so long ago, when I heard one guy say "I reckon all people should be treated the same, no matter their colour or class. Except fat people, they don't deserve it". I'm guessing he just thinks anyone overweight is that way simply because they stuff their face. (How many skinny people stuff ther face, but it's fine because their body handles it differently?) Not to mention extreme excess weight makes someone a target, but extreme underweight prompts sympathy? .. You can probably tell this subject really winds me up.DaMullet said:
Personally, despite not being attracted to my fellow females, I think they're all fine as long as they're healthy. I woman who tries to be a size 0 when she's build for something a little bigger looks less attractive and suffers for it. Everyone has their own shape, and there'll always be people out there that find it appealing. At least, that's my take on it.
With models though, I think designers are all deluding themselves having women model these things. That figure they love so much would fit a tall, teen boy better.

first of all: i have no problem with women being that skinny: they wanna starve themselves in order to look like skeletons. that's fine- whatever floats their boat. it's when they start moaning about 'being so fat' around a group of friends who may not be stick-thin like them. it crushes their self esteem about themselves- 'if this skinny girl thinks she fat, then i must be a tub of lard!' which is why they shouldn't flaunt it.
however, while i do prefer my girls ( or guys, coughcough) to have a bit of meat on their bones, I can see the appeal of a skinny girl: whenever you wrap you're arms around them, and they wrap you're arms around you, they feel so fragile and weak- you're afraid to hold them too tightly in case they break. ya wanna protect them: it makes you feel strong, and you want to be their hero.It's harder to feel that way about someone if you can't wrap you're arms around their waist due to their size, y'know?

It all just boils down to her ass for mating, her hips for carrying on lots of your genes, and having a healthy look.(being shorter than you helps too)

I'm not a fan of super skinny women, but that video showed women on the border of where I would say "Your too skinny". Depending on their height. I'm in a complicated relationship with a 5 foot tall, 90 pound girl. That might seem gross, but shes short, so the skinnyness doesnt look as bad and she never tried to weigh that much, she eats way more then I do at meals, she just has smaller parents. (I'm 5'5 1/2 and 115ish.) (Also, she's 19 and I'm 20)
So if those women were taller then 5'5 then those women would be kind of nasty skinny.
Let's all be honest here. Big fat fatties are just as nasty as anorexics. A woman, unless in some sort of body building/combat profession, should weigh no more then 150/180 depending on height. (Assuming average of 5'5, where in smaller women should weigh less) A woman, unless 7 feet tall, should not get anywhere close to 200 pounds.
In short, no fatties.
So if those women were taller then 5'5 then those women would be kind of nasty skinny.

I remember seeing or reading a thing once that said that it was to do with your perceived position in society. Classically white overweight was considered high class and attractive as normal people were skinny and tanned from working in the fields. Then with the industrial revolution the poor moved to factories and grew fatter and whiter, while the rich had time to sit around tanning or exercising. Or something like that
Personally I find fit girls to be the best. It makes me honestly gag when a jello legs girl is walking around in hot pants. Some of the girls in that video were definitely underweight. A skeleton is not attractive. But most of them in that video were fit and fine.

I think it depends. Some girls don't look bad if they're naturally skinny. Some girls look really gaunt and starved, especially if they've been on a crash diet.
I personally think it's better to have a bit more meat on your bones, but those girls were pretty too.

While that guy is obviously a dick, he's sort of right. Look the amount of fat people out there who are fat because of a physiological or genetic reason is tiny as a percentage of the total. It is fair to say that the majority of them are fat because they do not burn as many calories as they consume. That's not to say that they they ate all the cake but rather they may live on a diet of healthy well balanced food but it'll still get you fat if you don't burn the calories off.Kuroji said:Funny you should mention that. I don't condone picking on fat people at all but I don't think they should get any special treatment either.
I dont know but somewhere in Britain the idea the was if you were larger around, your family was more well off cause you could AFFORD to eat rather then just choosing to not to. Then once economic classes started to shrink and you could eat more the idea of being thin meant you were different and the rich took it as popular cause they didnt want to be associated with the poor.
It seems we havent yet reached the idea that big is beautiful yet again, though with women like Queen Latifah around that idea may be changing soon.

I don't get it either. When I see pictures like that it's a combination of "She Needs TO Eat Something" and "Nazi Death Camp Survivor."
I like skinny girls. So long as the ribs aren't showing, that makes me want to cram lard down their throat, but in general I am very attracted to petite women, more so than anything else really.
...I love how some folks can't tell the difference between skin and bones, and lean muscle... as evidenced in the video the OP linked. Around 75% of those women were just undernourished, the other 25% were fit and (to me, at least) attractive.

There's such a thing as lean muscle mass, people, and those who have it tend to eat more (and more healthy) food than fat people.

Does this thread really need to be made? Really? Come on...you know the damn answer already, OP. People like skinny women because they find them physically appealing. There...that was pretty obvious, wasn't it?
