In Los Angeles if you aren't doing 80 on the freeway you will get your ass run down. Personally, the fastest I have ever gone in a CAR is 120 MPH, but I once had my Mitsubishi Montero Sport up to 130. It was the Limited Edition, so it had the big engine, locking rear differential, the works.Broady Brio said:80mph. Equal to about 145kmph.
Hey, I was overtaking a car on a A route. In a driving lesson. Because the instructor was "getting annoyed with the car in front being slow."
Not certain if trolling...only because it would take an assload of money to make a Chevy II go that fast and I don't know if you have that or not.JET1971 said:Crossing Nevada in 1992 in my 68 chevy II I did over 200 MPH, over because the speedo only went to 200 and i was still accelerating.

I've done 160 mph in a VR4 3000GT twin turbo. I can hit 120mph in my little CRX without breaking a sweat (but run out of gearing pretty quick up there).Whateveralot said:Like the title says, what's the fastest you've ever driven a car?
My top speed in any car is 180 kmph (112 mph), but that was in a rental car and I nearly crashed it at that speed because I had to hit the breaks suddenly.
The current car I'm driving in is a Toyota Aygo (yes, that shopping trolley). I went 170 kmph (105 mph) in that, which is actually the highest speed the speedometer indicates.

Captcha: Life's too short, well that hit the spot.
On the autobahn, that's more likely to happen if you try to drive under 130kph (~81mph)... the wind of tractor-trailer rigs passing you is likely to knock you off the road.Ziadaine said:my current car's a stock Ford Falcon XR6, fastest I've done was 220km/h before the car started shaking and shook more when braking. Hasn't got the most....locked steering column and gear stick as the previous owner had a head-on collision and buckled the diff a bit.
This isn't yours is it?Grimbold said:I go up to 200km/h with my Audi A3 everytime I drive on the Autobahn.
Fastest might be something around 230.
