What's the meaning of your username?

Well, My last name starts with a K, and everyone constantly thinks it starts with a C. So I took that and added a K to Clown, to make Klown, then I sometimes add 99 which was my football number back in the day. I pretty much am always Klown or Klown99 for everything sense.

Used to be I was always Timberwolf in every screen name i could, extending it to Timberwolf Proeliator, but then shortening to Proelaitor since I'd usually hit the character limit.

Oh, Proeliator means "warrior" in latin. Its also the last name of my main protagonist in my super awesome sci-fi space odyssey/adventure story that I'll never get around to finishing. First name originally Timberwolf, but I want to find something less cheesy.

When I was like 11, I tried finding a gamertag for Xbox live, but every single one I wanted was taken. In my prepubescent rage, I typed in Dangit2019 (2019 being the year I hopefully graduate college), and it accepted it permanently. Since then, I've just ran with it.

shogunblade is the name of an RPG I wanted to write when I got a copy of RPG maker for the playstation 1 when I was about nine. I wrote out maps, characters, secrets, backstories, the works... then I found out the game reads like stereo instructions and gave up.

Funnily enough, I still have everything from when I was a kid, should I change my mind.

I was trying to think of a Runescape name, but all of them were used. After a while I remembered one of my friends usernames, which was loveyman or something like that. I took the man part, and added the moc to signify that I had copied him. I know that mock isn't quite what I had meant, but I couldn't even spell back then. I suppose I should be "Mockmockman", but whatever. I just got so good at typing it back when I typed with one finger, and it's availability that I use it for all my usernames.

Mine's a reference to Deism, which is the belief in a god without a belief that said god interferes with the world. Proponents of this belief compare the universe to a watch, i.e. something that isn't tinkered with or modified extensively, but just observed.

I'm not actually a Deist, but I heard the analogy in History class in 10th grade and thought it was pretty interesting. Then last year, I was starting up a game review blog (which I really should work on more at some point), needed a cool-sounding, relevant title, and it occurred to me that the concept applies to games. I use it for usernames now (obviously).

my original name, rickaay15, was a variance on one my cousin came up with when we were younger...still don't know why i went with it for so long....Nekron_X? well, aside from the _X that i tacked on to it, i ripped it straight out of the main antagonist of the Blackest night series, the embodiment of death, Nekron and the zombie black lanterns that follow him.

I misspelled "Doom" and got this. Then ran with it because it has no meaning[footnote]later I found out it's an Italian word but whatever[/footnote]. That's the short version. The long one is this + extra boring unneeded details.

Its the cringinly awkward thread you started. Some of them are hilarious to laugh at, but for obvious reasons, I can't make it through many of them before I need to stop for the day. And Boom Goes the Dynamite.

[Little Woodsman]

Mine is the literal translation of my name.
One of the most common names in the English language "Paul" simply means "little".
When my father's parents came to America, their name was changed to sound more American, dropping
a letter from the end of it. With the letter added back in, in the language of the country they
are from the name means "woodsman" or "woodcutter" or "of the woods" or something like that.

I found all this out for an elementary school project in which we were supposed to find out what
our names meant if we could. When I first found out--I hated it. Made worse by the fact that my
best friend at the time, who was kind of a wush, and I was always looking out for/protecting him,
his name meant "Dragon of the Castle on the Moor". And I was the little woodsman. I thought that
sucked. Until I got in to fairy tales again. Now I realize that the Little Woodsman is awesome,
and will take that foolish dragon down every time.

 

[Epic Bear Man]

Shortly after I made a Steam account, the "Epic Beard Man" meme started coming out. I've always been a big fan of bears (the animals, not the hairy gay guys. Seriously, I'm always asked that. xD), I decided to change my Steam name to "Epic Bear Man" as a sort of parody of Epic Beard Man. The name ended up sticking, I haven't really changed it (I have a couple of times, but to other joke names).

I also typically use the usernames Letanas or Volundarkvioa for accounts I make. Letanas is an anagram of Satan'el I made, and is the name of a devil-like character I made up years ago for a story I tried writing.

Volundarkvioa is a Romanized version of a Norse tale (although it'd be closer to Volundarkvida in English, but I preferred just writing it as Volundarkvioa), which basically is about a drunk blacksmith, and Valkyries and other crazy shit. If you wish to read it, here's the link:
