The first Test Drive game, sort of. The plot was the kind of thing you would see in a cheesy movie (tough black guy from the streets races and defeats several one-dimensional opponents), but the game itself was boring as hell. So I traded it in.

Dirge of Cerberus was pretty bad too, being essentially a worse version of Devil May Cry that tried to create false tension (you can see it in the episode of Unskippable, where he talks to that girl and they apologize and you know they`re going to dance around it until the last few levels but he almost certainly got her killed somehow). It was just so overdone for such a mediocre game that it was funny, and maybe a little sad.

I remember once playing a game called Darkened Skye that required u to save the world with skittles (the sweets)each one giving u new powers, it made no sense but it was terribly awesome.

Rise of the Triad.
It's the best I can do, but Root of all evil still cannot lose with FAKK2. Wish I said that first.
A modern remake&improvement of FAKK2 could potentially be the best guilty pleasure ever, but there's always the risk that the remake would become too tame to be good bad fun.

Anyway, RotT is a shooter with absurd level design and bad guys jumping miles high on trampolines spouting rediculous one-liners. Bad fun.

See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise_of_the_Triad

Alone in The Dark is so fail it was awesome IMO. I do some casual modding here and there, so if I think my Game is bad I just play AITD. Too bad I smashed the disk when a friend came over...

Well, looking back, basically all the PS1 games were awesomely bad.
But recently, Safecracker (wii) which had surprisingly hardcore puzzles right from the start but piss poor design and graphics that would have been horrible renders 15 years ago.

Counter Force, also on Wii is so not worth buying, maybe not even worth a rental, but it's kind of awesomely bad.

I understand that Castle Crashers is meant to be played multiplayer, but single player, its awesomely bad.

Sigh. Altered Beast and Bad Dudes are pretty awesomely bad. They were flat out awesome, at the time, but now they're kind of just awesomely bad.

Beautiful Katamari was painful, and horrible, with no real point, but I sat down, drank myself stupid and played it....remarkable how fun it is after a bit of intoxication....

Rise of the Robots [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zafl_68PfOo].

It's the awesomely bad game. It was bad then and it's bad now and just as hilarious as it ever was. The trailer says it all, really. It was supposed to have tons of sequels and a TV show. Haha.

Dark Sector. It's all been done before, it was all simple and very cliche...
The hilarious part about Dark Sector was its story that made no sense whatsoever. They had me at the part where a virus turns your arm into the glaive. Where it got really ridiculous was where you could use it as a torch as well.

Man, it wouldn't have been nearly as funny if the game didn't take itself so seriously.

Ergheiz, on the psx. The main game was too bad for me to play, but the dungeon mode was a lot of fun, although it was repetitive and didn't make any sense. I love that game.

Agreed. An awesome bad game is still fun to play..atleast when nobody else can see or hear you playing it.

Well, I can't tell you one that I have played but, Stalin Vs. Martians looks to be one of those games.

Oh wait, I have got one, Dragonball Z Sagas, because I had fun playing it, especially the one armed Gohan from Trunk's future!

Army of Two. That game was just so relentlessly dumb. It had a bad story, bad level design, mediocre AI, and a poor taste real world setting. The game mechanics were Gears of War but with an aggro system that oversimplified any tactics most co-op shooters try to make you use.

But you could blindfire a pimped out minigun and headbutt terrorists, so yeah.

For me, it would have to be Dynasty Warriors Gundam. The recently article about Mecha aside, I wanted to love that game so much... But it's just plain awful.

I'll pick up DWG2 when it comes out I know, and will be equally disappointed.

As much as it pains me to do so, I really have to say Phantasy Star Online. Oh, I do love it so, but it's not, you know, good. The camera is crap, the gameplay is beyond repetitive, and there were only four environments. Still love it to death, though.

Dynamite Cop is another one. Dreamcast beat-em-up that let you use random objects as weapons. You have not truly experienced gaming until you have whapped a bad guy with a tuna.

Personally, I'd say Bug for the Saturn. Incredibly difficult, pretty simple gameplay, very boring, but for some reason....I kept playing the damn thing! If only just to hear the funny one-liners Bug came out with whenever he died.

Redsteel, the graphics were mediocre by today's standards, the story was shit, the AI was like fighting a 5-year-old, but i couldn't help but love it
