What's the One Boss You Couldn't Beat in a Video Game?

That damn TANK at the end of any scenario in Left 4 Dead. On expert. Seriously. Me and my mates can do the rooftop finale perfectly until the tank arrives, and then it just butchers all of us.
Sometimes we get lucky and it dies relatively trouble-free, and then we get killed by the next one. We're still yet to get through the first scenario on expert. /fail

Ruby and Emerald WEAPONS in FF7, I realized several days after trying it's the reward doesn't equal the work.
Dullahan from Golden Sun The Lost Age, but I mean by not summon rushing him because it's stupid and requires absolutely no skill. The reward is an ultimate summon that is actually worth it to get.
Pretty sure there are others.
Oh yeah It was an extreme chore beating all the Weapons in FFVII but trust me the feeling of accomplishment is like ultra good like defeating I wanna be the guy good.
What about Omega in FF8, and the hardest weapon in any FF? His hit points were somewhere in the millions, and you basically had to be lucky to beat the fucker.
Definitely agree with Omega from FF8. Although he only had a million HP even at level 100. Could never finish him off. He had an attack that took off 9998 from at least one of your characters.

Defeated Emerald on first try as I recall, though it was no walk over. Ruby took over a dozen tries but it was worth it(as an accomplishment not for the achievement).

The only bosses I get really stuck on are generally fighting-adventure games. Ninga Gaiden Sigma/2, DMC 1,3,4 and GoW 1 and 2 I all had a real tough time on. (In fact only completed DMC 1, the lazy bugger that I am).
Did you beat Emerald Weapon with or without the Underwater Materia?
I was timed. 20 minutes if I recall, which meant I didn't have the underwater materia, or didn't have it equipped. It's been a while, but that is the sole reason for it isn't it?
That's right, it lifts the limit. Not bad then. I didn't so much get the materia because I had to, but because it was another hidden item that I could be getting, like KOTR.

The first scenario is actually the hardest scenario. Fact.

I've beaten every boss I've encountered, but killing "The Bloated One" in Titan Quest: Immortal Throne took me SIX - FARKING - DAYS. It's humiliating to have to say that when it's "only" a massive white spider from hell- quite literally.
hes fucking easy. just watch out for small spiders, if theres more than 2, they do lightings. thats what kill u.

It took me about two hours to beat the shadow queen at the end of Paper mario: the thousand year door, but I did it. I woke up one saturday morning, sat down, skipped breakfast, and beat the living sh*t outta that *****. I love that game.

Anyway, Shin Akuma in Capcom vs SNK 2 for the GC kicked my ass for the longest time...
I did eventually beat him though. It took a sh*t-ton of spamming with sagat to beat him. I felt dirty after that fight.

The Dark Demon from Demon's Crest. He's the only boss I can remember never defeating in any game I've played.

For the longest time, I couldn't get past the Heart boss from stage 8 in Devil May Cry 3, I finally said fuck it and put cheats in so I could get the infinite DT costume, still though, what a pain. OH and Vergil round 3 in the same game was fun fun, took me about 50 tries to finally kill him.

ALEXI from NG2, can just fuck right off...goddamned cheap throws. That game is full of controller breaking bosses.

No, you didn't. He's actually very simple indeed, once you realise that he has a fixed pattern of attacks, and that Terra Break is a physical attack, so having the Guard skill and using it at the right time means that it will do 0 damage. Megiddo Flare is fixed 9998 damage, so will leave you one 1hp as long as you remembered to heal, Lv. 5 Death is avoidable by St-Def-J and Death, and Meteor is a bit crappy. And those are his only attacks, and he does them all in the same order over and over.

And then Zell kills him in one limit break, because Zell is Mister Broken in that game.

I actually did beat them both at one point, but there was no sense of accomplishment.

I lied to myself there, ignore the lucky part.

No you didn't have to be lucky against him. You had to be lucky against the final boss. Anyone who beat the final boss with ease step forward.

I think my record is letting her take seven turns across all four forms. Without using Zell.

My party were basically living gods, tweaked out to absolute murderizing power, taking at most 50% from all elements, completely immune to all statuses, draining 100% of their attack damage with every hit, the works. Triple yourselves up at the start, Aura/Mighty Guard on, and then wail away with limit breaks. Use Quistis' white wind to heal as necessary. Ultimecia is one of the most trivial final bosses in a Final Fantasy game.

you guys are talking weak sauce mike Tyson from punch out if you have beat him find me and i will give you my house.
and i know that this dosnt count but my friend made a game where you fight a boss named warlord madness, a giant purple guy with flaming horses flying around him, that he programed to be the most frustrating boss fight ever! i spent over six hours trying to beat him and the worst part is that when i came back to him the next day saying that i couldn't do it he did it in 13:43 seconds yes i timed him.

In Shadow of the Colossus, I could never figure out how to kill that one boss that looked like a giant armadillo and moved around like he had been bitten by a genetically altered radioactive spider. That was pretty much the only boss fight that I've ever had to go to Gamefaqs to find out how to kill.
