Other than any game made in Japan, I would have to say Worms. It's probably he most messed up game I've seen. You're controlling a bunch of worms to kill other worms. Not only do they have an insane collection of weapons to destroy the world they know kung fu too. Instead of trying to take over the world and enslave all humans they rather just kill themselves. Also in the later games you can summon god like moves and I'm just staring at the screen going....shit better not piss off worms from now on. You gotta respect the worms.
Worms is awesome! Armageddon is an awesome move.

As strange as Worms is, I've gotta go with a Japanese game. They make the weirdest games... maybe their water supply is spiked or something.

There is something called "Metal Wolf Chaos" - it's about a battle between the President of the US and the Vice President.... and both of them wear huge combat/mech suits, and fly into out space and have lines like "Nothing is pointless.... and the reason is because I'M THE PRESIDENT OF THE GREAT UNITED STATES OF AMERICA YEEEEEAAAAAHHHH". Predictably, it's a Japanese game and was never released here.

Personally, the strangest game I've ever played was LocoRoco.

But when you think about it, a lot of games are really strange. Take the Bomber-man series. Cute little guys run around trying to kill each other with explosives. Or what about the Super Mario series? A PLUMBER goes around trying to save a princess kidnapped by a dinosaur, killing turtles that can fly, throwing fireballs and consuming mushrooms which greatly increase his size.

It depends on your definition of weird. If you are talking about absolutely-insane-makes-no-sense-whatsoever type "Weirdness", I'd go with either Killer 7 or No More Heroes.

But then again... there is the Metal Gear Series, and we all know how strange they can get. Especially MGS3 - A Man who can control bees? Check. A crazy cosmonaut with a flamethrower? Check. Lizard Guy? Check. Ghost-guy-who can summon the dead? Check. Electric guy? Check. It was just crazy. Oh, and all the Russians spoke in perfect north-american english. I know it was because they were just too damn lazy to find someone with a Russian accent, but it was weird for me. That said, the Metal Gear Solid games are still pretty good.

Beautiful Katamari was a game my best friend bought, entire premise of the game is you rolling balls which become larger as you get more stuff and they can get big enough to roll up continents and planets. Weird game but one of the funnest and most original games I have played in a while

Team Fortress 2!
Look at Demoman's legs! He doesn't have a pelvis!

200 rounds of ammo. Look at his atrocious skeleton!"]http://features.cgsociety.org/stories/2007_11/team_fortress/heavy_anatomy.jpg[/img_inline]
It's not even physically possible to double-jump! (Yabbering about realism versus artistic design)

Erm, probably Vib Ribbon.
So you had a white line making a 2-d platformer with enemies and obstacles based on Music.
Wow.

Someone else who has even heard of Vib Ribbon.

I mean, that game was so cool, it basically taught me how to use my first controller.

There are a few that I think rank highly on the WTF-ometer.

Assassins Creed although it was a descent game perplexed me slightly when I first read a brief plot synopsis. "Oh so your an assassin that kills people in the medieval middle east...but you're actually not an assassin, your his descendant in a machine that can somehow recreate his memories from your DNA...WHAT!?".

The most messed up though has got to be the whole of the Metal Gear series. To this day I still do not have a god damn clue as to what the hell has actually happened except knowing when one of the characters dies, over the course of the four games and the cut scenes just confuse me more lol
