Yes this was more my opinion on it, I got annoyed with it because it was redeemable had they just cut out all the bullshit in it, which sadly made up most of it's structure, so I don't know what more there is to say. Yes they keep deliberately effing up sonic, but whatever, the old 2D games are repetitively given spotlight, and you'll have to get your injection of annoying blue hedgehog that way.xxhazyshadowsxx said:
I didn't really like it, I just didn't have a fun time with it. The only 3D Sonic gave I've liked is Team Battle 2 (really fun) but other then that the recent Sonic games just haven't been fun.
The day time gameplay is pretty solid but the night time is just fucking god awful. And most of the time you have to play at night to unlock the fucking day maps/missions. Retarded game design.

There was just so much wrong with the game, I'm not sure where to begin... While there are some little pockets of fun tucked away a various intervals throughout the game, it was mostly uninspiring. They had the running and jumping down ok, but the whole, "Mutantwolfhedgehogthing," was just uneccessary.
I'm just pissed that the whole Sonic franchise has gone in the Anime direction. Now Sonic just looks and sounds like a drugged up adolescent with really bad hair (See Sonic X), and did anyone else just get annoyed that Tails sounded like a little girl?

personaly iv'e been a sonic fan since it came out, sonic was my very first game which was built into the sega master system. i'd like to talk about the so called new sonic game , i followed sonic unleashed from its announcement and was excited by the prospect of the fast paced sonic levels and the combat based werehog (as many of u will already know from yahtze it is completely inacurate, were means man so it would be manhog when he is a wolfhog.)which seemed to take the game back to the sonic adventure styled games which was slowed down but had good combat and level design. however when the designers said they were taking sonic back to his roots of speed i became very angry since i am a veteran of the very first sonic game and know that the game was never about speed. sure sonic's character was a super fast hedgehog but the only way you could tell that was by seeing his legs go round in circles or spinning in a ball which seems to have disapeared from the new games. sonic now is just a blur and a milked to death franchise which should have stuck to is ACTUAL roots, intsead they made him furry and gave him retarded strechy arms that are so unresponsive their worse than useless. as for the combat well its pointless to be frank. you can punch away at the same monster throughout the game since the sonic team have turned into idiots and forgot they needed artists WITH REAL IMAGINATION to make something creative intead of purple blobs with arms that block every combo you do. as if the combo's wern't crappy enough (which they sooooooooooooo are) they decide to put in pointless quick time finishing moves that are so harsh if you don't manage to hit these randomly generated button combinations they throw you off whilest magicly regaining all their health which you've just eye rakingly gone through getting rid of as you take damage. basicly there's no point to the werehog it just ruins sonic further. this got so bad i gave up on completeing the game which is a hard thing to make me do. i regret buying this game and if you get it or like it a whole lot of eye gouging is to come either from yourself or the people who are privy to the knowlege of how bad this game is and if you're still thinking of getting it get you're head checked.
My big problem is, why cant they just make a regular Sonic Game? None of these bullshit peripherals. Honestly, is it necessary to give Sonic a sword or give one of the other characters of the franchise a GUN? No, its not. I'd like to play a Sonic game with just him, none of this other character bullshit or transformation and just a simple chaos emeralds storyline. Is it THAT hard to do?

Another thing, don't bring Mario where it doesn't belong. The problem with that argument is people DO complain when Mario games aren't good, but 7/10 times they are good. Sonic has had THREE terrible games in a row.
I got Sonic Unleashed for christmas from my parents, played around on it on a couple of my spare evenings, and now i'm stuck with the dilemma of not wanting the game but not having the heart to return it. I'm sure they meant well but.....
For me, it's quite easy to sum up whats wrong with the game.

I feel that, when replying to a subjective disscussion such as this the OP must try to stay objective else the thread turns into a flame war. Regardless of what you might think I feel the vast majority of opinions do not change regardless of argument over the inernet. As such any argument over peoples opinions is meaningless and off-topic. The OP asked "whats wrong with SU" - and a possibe response to that is "its a bad game". Yet the OP will and has attempted to argue otherwise, but did not take an objective approach - rather than attempting to discuss and analyze the reasons why the person felt that way, he/she insulted the person and their source for no obvious reason.joystickjunki3 said:
