Well, I have been listening to a lot of mashups... Unfortunately, my current favorite mashup can only be listened to after you download the album located on a link in a particular Tumblr post and I'm too lazy to find the original Tumblr link...

Instead, I'll just put down the mashup I could actually find on YouTube... It's a mashup of Linkin Park and Psy:
It mashes up one of my favorite songs from Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory album with both Gangnam Style and Gentleman... with a surprise bonus song added in that, in my opinion, really solidified the ending of the song for me hands down...

In fact, the whole mashup album that that particular song came from [Psybrid Theory] is a treat in and of itself... I would recommend it to anyone who wanted some "sexy" in their "implied angst" or something like that... I don't know...

"Shut Op! OPPAN GANGNAM STYLE!!"

As it has been for a few years now, my faaavvveeee favourite song is Lady Gaga's "So Happy I Could Die". I dunno, there's something kinda beautiful about the verses, and dat chorus when things get all bliss. I think I prefer listening to the instrumental, and the live version with all the harps and stuff is also beautiful. In fact this is a great coincidence as if you're a numbers and dates freak like I am, the 24th February holds significance to the song. Oh I feel tempted to go back and listen to The Fame Monster for the seventy thousandth time.

Don't tell me. I don't wanna know.
Blank Space is easily gearing up to be one of my favourite hit songs for 2015, thank Christ T-Swizzle released it after that PoS Shake It Off (much as I like SiO).

My current jam appears to be this...

I don't care much for the lyrics but the riffs are amazing. I recently learned it on guitar too, it's a pretty tricky song but it is so satisfying to play. A real workout.

That intro sample though.

Easy.

It uses nothing but two synths and a metronome and breaks my heart every time.

If you don't mind me recommending a band, give Katalepsy a shot.

I love me some Katalepsy. Autopsychosis is one of my favourite death metal albums ever.

I learned Gialo on guitar too around the same time as the song I posted. That song slams hard.

I'm not sure if I would call it a favorite myself, but I cannot deny that I enjoy that album alot.

OT:
If it weren't for the fact that I recently discovered Conflict (what I posted earlier), I would have picked this:

I've been listening to the second song from Me!Me!Me! more than could be considered healthy.

Tough call, since I have so many... and since I can only post one... can I get back to you on that?

I've been listening to a lot of folk rock lately. This is probably the one I come back to most often. Never fails to cheer me up. (I wish I could have 2 so I could also say ballad of the easy rider).

I fucking love the byrds.

For me, it's not a matter of best song, since that would automatically go to a Michael Jackson or Morten Harket song. But in terms of sentimental value...

Gads, that's a tough one. It's so hard to pick just one, honestly. I'm an avid music lover, so I feel like I'm not being fair in picking only one.

But, since we apparently HAVE to stick to just one...

I'mma go with this:

Thomas Bergersen is usually a great composer, but he knocked it out of the park with this track.

A true classic and one of my favourite songs. Mine would have to be 'Centre Of' by Cola Wars. Good tempo, good harmonies and just all around catchy. Plus the band has Cam from Bodyjar in it.

Mine is from a band that broke up in the 90's, but has recently got back together for a few gigs around Australia. I was lucky enough to hear them live last year, thanks to my sister and I was floored when they played this:

As a matter of fact, I'd much prefer if you did. :p

The entire point of this topic isn't to just post a bunch of songs that you like, it's to make you actually put some thought into the matter to come up with an absolute favorite. Not a toss-up, not a "I can't decide between..." I'm looking for your favorite song, above all others, at this moment.

Surprisingly enough there's only been a couple people who have failed to realize that the keyword in "you can only post ONE song" is, of course, ONE. Mostly everyone's been playing along by the rule, though, so I can appreciate that. :3

Mine hasn't changed in a loooong time!
Whenever someone askes for favorite song I always give them 2 songs, because 1) I can't choose between them and 2) they are two such different songs that deciding would jut be ridiculous anyways.

Well then you fail at this topic, as the objective was to actually put some thought into it and give one song, not two.
