What's your favorite MTG card?

I love the unglued set... but if I have to pick just one card, I'd go with Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire.

Spoiler: in case you don't want to turn your head to read it

Whenever any player taps a card, that player gives control of that
card to an opponent at end of turn.
If a player does not tap any nonland cards during his or her turn,
Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire deals 3 damage to that
player at end of turn.

The sheer randomness it created was always hilarious.

These three were the biggest pains in the arse in my whole Red/White deck. I never managed to play them properly because I was casual as hell as you can tell by how long its been since I played.

Loved the art though.

[mtg_card=Force of Will] is just straight up awesome. Being tapped out and countering your opponents win-con regardless is some of the best fun you can have in that game.

Hence why I try to keep at least a couple 'fuck everything' cards in every deck. Usually a nasty field nuke. Though I do want to build a deck with a card (that I don't remember the name of, sadly) which had the delightful ability of effectively shuffling and redistributing all the permanents in play. >:3

Well, the best card is Stoneforge Mystic.

* Great art.
* Sneaks stuff around counterspells.
* Gives you card advantage.
* Pretty good flavor.
* Is legacy playable and doesn't cost a million bucks.

Hmmm... favorate cards... well, as a mad Johnny bastard I've allways had a soft spot for crazy "build around" cards. My current favorite in Standard has to be Deadeye Navigator simply for all the crazy infinate combos you can pull off with him. But my favorate of all time may just have to be Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. I BEAT YOU DEATH WITH LAND!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[mtg_card=Goldenglow Moth]. I've come a long way in how I build decks, but I still love this card for some reason. Like many new players, I first gravitated towards life gain, and people would find it so frustrating when I blocked with the moth and then gave it say [mtg_card=Righteousness].

My favorite card right now though is [mtg_card=Silverblade Paladin].

Dark Confidant AKA Bob is my favorite card.

For two mana you can potentially draw 5-6 cards plus get a 2/1 beater. It is a must answer threat. Plus it combos well with Liliana of the Veil in my Legacy rock tournament deck.

Actually, one of the current standard decks based around stalling with defenders and making a ton of any color mana with [mtg_card=Chromatic Lantern] gets it off pretty easily. My friend has been running it at FNM and been doing pretty good so far. He went 3 - 1 last week, getting Door off twice in the night.

Granted, but still...in most formats that have even a small amount of artifact removal, the moment your opponent gets a whiff of "The Door", every move will be aimed at anticipating (and removing) "The Door". Especially in multiplayer formats. Good lord, you drop this card and you instantly become 'public enemy number one'.

That can be used to your advantage, of course. If your opponent(s) spend much of the game "saving up" so they have an answer to your bomb, it frees you to do a lot of other things they may not anticipate.
