But other than that, I have a special place in my heart for Blastoise as he was my first Pokemon ever . Tyranitar, Flygon, Garchomp, Cacturne and Torterra are all pretty sweet as well, especially when used together Electivire and Fraligatr are pretty beastly themselves... And on a final note...

Heracross is also a boss.

Gyarados, and by extension Magikarp. I have always raised the noble Magikarp to the ferocious beast that is Gyarados by good old fashioned battle switching. Always more satisfying that way if you ask me.

Lugia or Charizard. Probably Charizard.

Why those two? Well, because they are awesome in the games, and awesome in the show. Seriously. Lugia had one of the best movies. Period. And Ash's Charizard was great. Sure, he didn't mind, but that was the fun!

And they both look cool.

sure, there's better sweepers now adays
(Volcanora, Chandelure with trick room, Proygon Z etc.)

but Alakazam was the original 1 hit KO in first turn powerhouse. And it looks bad ass to.
