Trolls come in two varieties: Attention whores and Straight A*holes.

There is nothing good about trolling. At least according to my definition. To me trolling is the act of intentionally pissing someone (or some people) off for no reason. You can claim it's funny, but in my opinion it's only funny when you know the person. That's just giving your friends crap, which is kind of expected. When you intentionally piss random strangers off on purpose, you're just a dick.

Pretty much this. I've never understood why people think pissing off or upsetting other people is funny. Then again, I don't find reality TV a la Big Brother that funny either.

People getting hurt, angry, or humiliated to amuse others is not funny to me.

My opinion of trolling? It's what assholes do. It's just like bullying, except it's the nerds doing it--and it's still not okay.

It depends on who you're trolling and how you're trolling them. It's pretty funny usually, but sometimes it goes too far.

I love trolling and griefing. Irl and in game. Some times i enjoy trolling the ai just for laughs. I do think trolling is best done with friends though.

I don't mind trolling sometimes. It can be extremely funny if the topic permits. And I'm sure almost everyone here, myself included, is guilty of trolling at one point or another.

I think people get a bit over board in what exactly they call trolling, sometimes they will just say you're a troll because they disagree with your opinion.

I personally find it hilarious in a few forms (generally when a troll is counter-trolled), although I don't do it myself. I also find it funny when trolls think they are trolling you but don't realize that you don't care.

If it's good trolling, it's called 'satire.'

Satire is certainly trolling, and it is often funny and well done. Now if only the people who think they are achieving something with comments like "U madd bro?" would raise their trolling to an equal height...

It's hilarious at times, other times it's just uncalled for.

Like on 4chan and Funnyjunk, trolling is perfect for those sites.

Now on sites like The Escapist...trolling is awful.

It ultimately depends on where the troll takes place.
If it takes place on a certain site that I am not supposed to mention, then it is fine, for that IS the place for the good trolls.
On sites like this one, however, frown upon trolling. It would be nice if they did add a "random" page, so all the trolls would go there rather than on other sections of the forums.
