Boxing, Muay Thai, and unfortunate incidents in college.

My boxing alias was "Octo." Threw a lot of combinations from odd angles and had good handspeed. Pretty much the same for Muay Thai.

An incredibly obvious play on words. I'm sure it's been done millions of times, but I didn't nick it directly from anywhere.

It's my name, with trooper in front of it because it might make people think that I don't live in my parent's basement.

The Simpsons Treehouse of horror episode reference. I thought it was extremely obscure, but apparently not so much seeing as how the name is taken on both XBL and PSN and a few other places.

It's the codename the producers of "Lost" came up with for the 4th season finale. It was this or "SnakeInTheMailbox".

Sometimes I still wonder....

I use this one whenever I sign up for something.

I got the "Azure" part from the .hack//legend of the twilight bracelet manga. Two characters had "Azure" in their titles and I liked it, the "Gaia" part was added because it sounded cool (or so I thought at the time)

it's the name of a character from a story I wrote.
I then found out the name was also in zelda: phantom hourglass. It must have been on the edge of my mind when I came up with it.

I threw a blue glowstick at the guitarist of my favorite band last year in April & hit him. Thus, "BlueGlowstick" was born. :)

Story time, about three years ago I was playing Halo 3 at my friend's house. I had a sniper rifle. When I walked around a corner, my friend was right there so i randomly fired at him and scored a perfect no-scope to the face. He then proclaims, "luckshot." and I was like, "dude, that would make a great gamertag!" So it did, And I use it as a screen-name everywhere else for convenience.

People "who understand me" also call me lyx in "real" life. Originally, many years ago, i just was looking for something that is short, implying directness and simplicity, yet also sounding a bit like a fantasy-setting name, and lastly was unique enough for it to be almost nowhere taken...

...a year later, i learned that those evil opensource people churn out apps en mass, always giving them short names, and that therefore it was utterly naive to have thought that it would be unique. Worst part is that i don't even like the app with the same name - it's a bloated piece of crap.
You may not know this but your fantasy-setting name is swedish for Luxury.
OT:Its from simply picking a flower name...In Latin.
