It's a tradition thing. Does not in any form mean any genuine Christian who follows the Bible hates you, but that homosexuality is the equivalent of lying, stealing, etc. in the vein that our god says "do not do this." If he doesn't exist, then we're wrong. If he does, then whatever because immorality is for Him to judge, and us to accept that humans in general are flawed of their own doing. All of us.ALuckyChance said:Quick question, and I really don't want to start a big argument on this, but why do you think homosexuality is immoral? Also:
1: No. I'm thirteen, and I don't think I've ever been to a church since I was a baby.
2: No, as I'm a mild atheist - by that, I mean I fall a bit into the 'who cares' category.

But my own beliefs AREN'T tolerated. There are some Christians who have killed atheists claiming to be doing "The work of God". As a result, why should I be tolerant of intolerance? People have insulted me and my beliefs many times (Mostly because I live in an area with a lot of elderly church-goers). You are entirely dependent on many things. Being hooked to a dialysis machine makes me a dependent so it's ok to kill me if i was without it? how about air? Water? You can't live without them. Your kids are fully dependent on you until their teens, they would most likely die if abandoned. Is it ok to kill them?
5. The Pope is the leader of the last remaining rremnants of the Holy Roman Empire aka the Vatican, which is CHRISTIAN, not CHRISTIANITY. No Protestant believes he's really a representative of God. You don't ELECT prophets.
6. All beliefs have bigots, even atheism. Like the belief that I'm stupid for being religious. Your disdain for all religion, as opposed to just not giving a damn, shows you are in this group.
Your disdain for religion and only caring to know people who are barely religious shows how intolerant you are. You don't care, as you say, who you insult. But what if they were to insult you? Are you firm enough in your beliefs? Do you want your own beliefs to be tolerated? Then man up and show the respect you want from others.

One could argue that as the foetus is not self-aware, it doesn't have the capacity to make choices. That post reminds me of something that happened to a friend of mine. She lived in Morocco for a while, but she lives in Canada again now. Some girl went up to her and said "If you're from Africa, how come you're white?"DanielDeFig said:When i tell ppl i have lived in countries in Africa (Zambia, Kenya), i can sometimes get this question:
"So...Do you speak African?" (Sometimes they will ask if i speak Kenyan or Zambian, which is equally stupid but slightly more forgivable)
