Where do you want the next fallout game located?

The next Fallout game should take place in good old New England! Perhaps near the Boston area....Or better yet in my Home state of New Hampshire!! We have trees, and small towns, and more trees....

Or how about in England? Prehaps near Boston (Linconshire) or better yet near my home county, Hampshire? We also have trees and small towns and more trees, Plus we have the Isle of Wight!...?

Any way, serious note I'd like to see somewhere outside the US. We've been there-done that! I'd just like to explore a city that is much more new and fresh! Imagine climbing ober the rubble of St Petursburg, or Rome?

Infact Fallout 'The Vatican' would be amazing! Mutant Swiss Guard, and factions desperately fighting over the last few ledgible books in the Vatican's vault! Imagine all the Gothic locations! The overarching bad guy thinks he's the Pope! Man that could be cool!

I would agree, but do you even realize how small Hawaii would be? It just seems to small to provide much gameplay, I can definitely see it being part of a DLC though.

When you think about it they could make Hawaii actual size, I mean Fallout usually takes place in, what, 400-500 square miles?

I'd kinda like to see Fallout: London or Fallout: Manhattan. The latter would probably require a LOT of buildings.

I know it is somewhat ridiculous and unlikely but i would love to have the next fallout game set in Orlando Florida. It would be legit to see post nuclear war Disney World and universal studios.

Edit: Portland Oregon would also be really awesome.

Colorado Springs. I mean, honestly, we have Cheyenne Mountain here and a ton of military installations; and it would be fun to see the burnt-out mega-churches.

I can't imagine them ever going for this given the story, but how about an alternate fallout in London or something. Other European cities would also work, but then you would have language issues for the primary audience.

Somewhere in Russia might work well. Or how about we see the other side, what happened to China?

Lower NY / Northern NJ / Pennsylvania. NYC could be the "New Vegas" type area for the Northeast. I personally would love to see that as the perfect counter to all the games coming out recently that seem to be using the Big Apple as a punching bag.

sadly even though i'm not an american I've gotta say fallout should stay in the USA. there's just such a wonderfully hokey pre-war optimism and iconography that we would lose. also no more vault boy.

Somewhere different and exotic. As cool as NV and Capitol Hill were, I'd like to see a change of scenery with a slightly different atmosphere, but keeping the ambiance the same as FO3. Something like Tokyo or Beijing, Moscow, Paris or Rome. A rubble strewn Arc D'Triumph, a broken and hollow Kremlin, a deserted, barren Colloseum...THAT would be brilliant.

To be honest I have no idea what specific city or area the next Fallout game should be in, but I only have two wishes for it.

1) It has to be in America. I know it seems cool to have a post-nuclear war story set in England or Australia or something, but the tone of Fallout has always been about Americana, so changing the country would completely diminish that.

2) Have Obsidian make it. Yes, I know New Vegas was buggy but was it was much better written and more fascinating story than Fallout 3 and the original creators of the series would have a much better idea of what area would work as opposed to Bethesda. (No. Stop. I don't want to hear some argument about which game was better. Fallout 3 was a good game in it's own right. But New Vegas was a better Fallout game. Ok?)

Either in one of the former "United Europe" Areas, would get quite intresting, since theres a lot of Possibilities (and sooooo much Areas for Addons as we are familiar with Bethesta by now).

Or maybe the Location is not that intresting, as the time, since Civilisation started to come back already after part two.

The time zone between Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 might give some intresting opportunities.

Same as the last 20 or so threads asking the same question, Philadelphia. The city itself is rather varied so would make for a relatively diverse location (lets face it, just wandering around a grey city for hours would get really dull really fast), there's plenty of history to exploit, and... well okay, I'm biased, I grew up in the area.
