It's definitely seemed lately that most pre 2009 forum goers have vanished, which is quite depressing. For some reason I always get happy when I see someone who is 2009 or older.

I noticed a decline in quality of threads and consistent members cropping up, but then I never dug the forums on this place a whole lot. I love the (slightly) more mature and integrated community, but I never liked the elitism nor repetitiveness/inanity of it.

You know, you're actually correct. Every day I'll see the same thread over and over in the latest posts box. The only real original things are Daystar Clarion's posts about British food. Every now and then though, a gem will pop up.

Anyways, we ARE here... or at least i am... I check in daily and usually forum-forage for a while. I have noticed the distinct lack of original threads lately though... I'd make some but... frankly, I'm always afraid mine will be stupid!

The new design pretty much killed the site for me. Especially because this site runs on American time, so the updates aren't timed to my sleeping patterns, most of the time I've read the news being posted on here like 9 hours earlier on Reddit or Ausgamers. I still come for Zero and Extra punctuation, Movie Bob and The Big Picture.

I just think the site needs a faster update system, the main page articles don't really change from day to day. That news feed which listed the lesser stories in a long list at the bottom of the page in the old design was alright.

Honestly, looking at the front page now, I don't see an article on Steams Console rumour that is floating around, nor the news that Blizzard fired 600 employees. And if they are there, then it's a problem that I can't see them. Seriously guys, if your an Aussie, check out www.ausgamers.com

It's like discoving some sort of government cover up, this is as exciting as the time I found out kidnapp was only frowned upon. I hope.

I'm having a little snoop around to see what the place is like, don't worry it's nothing negative as I already have enough evidence to take you all down. So far the place seems pretty hilarious.
