Pretty crap guide man. It seems like something you wrote in 10 minutes. If you could spend more time on it you could have made this sort of official. For example, take inspiration from Sass' guide to leaving the site.

OT: Don't talk about Halo here and pretend you love Valve if you want to survive your first year.
FOR THE FORTH DAMN TIME! THIS ISN'T REALLY A GUIDE! God, does no one read posts before they post?
Sorry but you put in your OP that it was an unofficial guide. It's an outline of do's and...well actually it consists of just don'ts.
But I have to agree with the Lord here; that guide in the hyperlink looks like some time and effort was put into it, it's what we need really as some people love being the attention whore of "I wanna leave, delete me, I'll offend you in anyway possible to get it done!"

It's simple really; use a mature minded attitude in posting.

Oh and Valve? They're alright I guess, still ticked that I missed their complete DooM collection the other week when it was selling for 6 quid for a day. I prefer GOG.com though
Fifth time.

Again, thanks for the troll message.
I think you have the definition of "troll" wrong.
Probably, but if you ask me, just deny reality until it changes.

EDIT: FOR FURTURE REFERENCE: If you are just going to troll about how the 5 sentences I wroted are bad just leave now.
Code:
Oh no, you caught me, the troll. Because that is what I am with my recent join date and single post.
I promise never to about what you wroted.

I disagree. You yourself wrote:

This is sort of my unoffical guide for people to use for where to STOP POSTING.
Man up and accept that you could have spent more time creating this thread, or just continue what you're doing as it makes for funny reading.
Are you just posting here to make me feel bad now?

Again, thanks for the troll message.
In which way is this trolling?
These threads might be opened because of a troll, but they can be interesting and fun, so why just dismiss that because the guy who started the thread was doing it for the wrong reasons?
Trolling-the posting of material to agrevate another person. There ya go.
I bet asking people what they would do in a certain situation is meant only to piss them off.

Don't post in a topic that you cannot fill more than a line of space. Seriously unless you really have something to say you shouldn't be posting. It really irritates me when I see super short posts unless it is in reply to someone then it can be ok. So unless you are willing to contribute to the discussion I don't think you should post in a thread but that is just me.

Thanks for contributing instead of yelling at me.

Rendering the post useless, except for the bad joke at the start.
Was it worth it? Was it really?
Again, I was making this to suggest to stop encouraging the making of troll threads and duplicate threads. So if all you want to do is yell at me for what I wrote please don't post here.
Nothing you say, and nothing I say, is going to stop people from doing stupid things from time to time. What I really want to ask is how you construe that as yelling? It was a actually a polite way of saying you where not making making quite the profound statement you so obviously through you where making, and you where making exactly the kind of thread and posts you condone. I suppose you could condone typing in all caps as yell in which case I can tell you to stop yelling at everyone, as you had quite liberal use of caps in your original post.

See that could be considered yelling, good job sparky.

So YOU haven't made this thread to get a badge? Becauses its pritty pointless... theres not much discussion to be had here :S

OT: I will try and add something here, stop posting the wha the hate to Justin Beiber threads and the Halo ones as well. There are obvious reasons to hate (although I personally have no problem with them, even if Biebers music sucks) them but surely these threads will only attract trolls!? :S

This is so sad. I'm not sure what to think about your intentions, but regardless I'm very disappointed that this thread exists. I think we all know how to use logic when posting on a forum, and I think we also know that one misguided "Where not to post" thread will never change anything.

I've actually seen this thread a few times in the recent past. Shouldn't you add it to your list, OP?

Also, I'll agree with people that said "How famous am I?" threads need to be on the list.
