Ok so Afganistan looks like it has nearly ran its course in popular media and the TV cameras will soon be packing up and looking for somewhere new to film.

Where do you think the next war/"war"/police action will take place?

and i mean interesting ones, not a tribal/gang war in South America or Africa.

Argentina V UK part 2 over the Falklands

North Korea V World Police

India V Pakistan

Bosnia V Serbia part 2

Turkey V Iraq

Iran V World Police


can't think of any others that has a realistic chance, personally I think Bosnia V Serbia part 2 is most likely (until Republicans get back into the White House that is, then Iran/North Korea need to watch the fuck out!), outside bet on Argentina doing some posturing maybe?

I suspect it will either be US vs. N Korea, or US vs. Iran. The US has been foaming at the mouth over these two countries for almost a decade and the war in Iraq is pretty compelling evidence that they aren't afraid to start a war for no reason.

Not since their economy started depending on ours. Given the choice of continued prosperity or getting in a long drawn out and bloody war just to support a tiny crack pot nation that doesn't give them shit. What are they going to choose?

Sure they may not have the ability to launch them but you can bet your bottom dollar that Iran and NK have warheads sitting around in a bunker somewhere.

Why do you think there has been no attack or strikes against either of them, all the while Iraq got pummelled for years just for not letting weapons inspectors have a look around and invaded TWICE! lol seriously why else do you think neither nations have not even had a fart directed in ther general direction when both had developed nuclear reactors and fired off ballisitic missile tests, yet Iraq was invaded (2nd time) for relatively nothing at all.

It's also why the US and NATO has suddenly started making the new missile shield in Europe which everyone had previously let die in the dust, now when that is up and running then maybe, but even then it's a small chance.

You have yourself some crazy conspiracy theory's there but I suppose I have heard worse. The reason an invasion hasn't been attempted against Iran is because the American public wasn't willing to swallow the "WMD's" shit again that led to Iraq which was a PR nightmare of a war. The American public is currently not willing to go to war with Iran because it would get bogged down worse than Iraq and everyone is tired of extremely expensive wars with no visible end and no one wants to invade North Korea because they actually do have Nuclear weapons and they haven't pushed the line far enough to risk watching a few million south Koreans die of the truly horrific effects of Nuclear fire. NKorea probably would have been a better choice to attack in the early 2000s but the Hawks couldn't find a way to tie them to Terrorism and certain individuals in the government (hint: the president) had a personal grudge against Iraq. (Saddam Hussein tried to assassinate George Bush Sr if you will recall.) As for your little "Nuclear weapons were lost!" argument I could use that same faulty line of reasoning to say that my cousin Jim has a vast nuclear arsenal and that is why none of the major powers have tried to invade his apartment. Soviet nuclear weapons were not lost so much as in the possession of various nation states that were once part of the union but broke off. Iran never possessed such weapons as they were never a satellite state or part of the Soviet Union. All of those nuclear weapons have since been transferred to the Russian Federation and are most likely among the 30,000 nuclear warheads that they have since disarmed.
