Where's Unskippable?

Am I missing something? Today is Monday right? And it's about 5 hours past their usual "post time"... Did I miss a memo? Anything happened to Unskippable?

It's a bleedin' holiday, they're people too and are allowed a day off!
Why so many grumpy posts about this?

Because they work everyday from 9-5? Now if they want to show me their usual schedule to prove me wrong then ok, but I do not think they need a holiday as bad as alot of other people. They just have to have their show out 1 day, monday, every week. If they want their day off, fine, but then I expect tomorrow to log on to find a new video.
I do not mean to sound like a harsh and demanding fan, but I know it is how I must seem, but I stand by what I said.

Your determination on when and how much the Unskippable guys should work notwithstanding, it is a holiday for everyone at The Escapist, too - which includes the folks who actually make sure the content gets put up on the site.

For those who aren't from 'round these parts, Memorial Day is to honor the men and women who died while serving in the military. It's a big day for parades. It's also the unofficial beginning of summer. Many people go away for the long weekend, others simply enjoy it by spending time outside, having cook-outs, camping, and suchlike.

And some also hope to brighten their day with a funny video.

Well there is a certain conceited callous aroma radiating from the flesh of many escapists. Like someone should purchase that Cpt_Oblivious a new bed, as there is obviously not a good side of his current one to wake up on.

if you dont like the "aroma" around here then dont post in the forums, Cpt_Oblivious is one of the friendliest guys here, and usually so am i, so maybe you shouldnt judge someone by 1 post you've seen in a thread which they just happened to disagree with

I was, until it started raining in North Carolina... Now they are stalled at 228 of 400 laps and the only thing I had planned for Memorial Day is probably not going to get finished... Damn, I so thought Jimmie had it today, as well...

Well, the only sport worth watching on Memorial Day is NASCAR, only because it was rained out yesterday... And now it looks like they will not complete the scheduled 600 miles, but rather only 228 of 400 laps... Sorry, I assumed you would understand what I was referring to...

I'm so glad you corrected them or I would have ended up doing more than slapping them...

...I don't quite get how just because they release a video on a Monday they get a day off while the other hard working video makers don't get the privilege of bank holidays because they release on other days...

Maybe they have to transfer the video to a guy who works for the escapist as an admin and he uploads it? Maybe he has the day off because he is a worker rather than an entertainer?

Maybe it will be uploaded tomorrow? Lets hope so anyway. Losing a week of Unskippable is a shame, losing it forever is a travesty.

It would have been nice if there had been a notice or something put up on the main page somewhere that The Escapist was taking the day off so there wouldn't be any site updates--not everyone is American or knows about American holidays. How was anyone to know? I know, I know, Americans think we're the center of the world and everyone knows everything about us, but...yeah. I'm American but have lived abroad for so long I have no idea when any American holidays are anymore and was going, "WTF, where's the update? I know I didn't get the day wrong," so I know people in other countries, who do indeed visit the site, would have no way of knowing why nothing was being updated.

At any rate, regular businesses, especially entertainment businesses, that people would expect to be open during a holiday will say that they are closed for the day. It would not have been overly difficult for there to have been an announcement or something on the front page saying y'all were taking the day off. It seems irresponsible, to me, to assume everyone from all of the world who reads the site would just know y'all were taking the day off and why.

In fact, being Canadian, our May holiday was last week, and still we did one!
But Unskippable might not go up this week, because The Escapist is American and does have Memorial Day.
