Which comic book hero would you get rid of?

This question popped into my head last night as I was trying to sleep - if you could just remove any superhero (or group) from canon - not dead, mind you, but never existed - who would you pick? None jump out for me, but that may just be because I only have a cursory knowledge of comics....

(Also, please keep it civil. I don't think this is at risk of becoming a flame war, but just in case.)

Well, I would get rid of Batman from the DC universe. But that might cause angry fanboys to come after me, so.

Anyone Wildstorm from the DC Universe. Even Caitlin Fairchild, someone that sort of belongs there. Just by having them in the new 52, they fundamentally altered the nature of the universe in a way that does not feel right to me.

Wolverine. I didn't like him, but I didn't have a problem with him in the X-books. But he should have never been an Avenger. The Avengers are not anti-heroes.

Toss in my vote for Deadpool as well. He's made me giggle in the past, but he's more likely to make me groan. Eat it, Wade. Aqua Teen Hunger Force isn't fucking funny, and neither are you.

I choose Catwoman. She is a villain. She is selfish and greedy, but she is always described as an anti-hero or one of batman's allies. It's very cake and it eat too.

Roxy, Grunge, okay you're different enough to be over here. Grifter, I guess we need a Punisher so sure. Voodoo and Void, I'll put you in the maybe section over here. The MAXX? I suppose your insanity gives you some character, so get in the maybe section. Shadowhawk, Spawn? Both want to be Batman, how can we do this right? Can one of you be the brooding loner and the other the urban vigilante? You can. Great! Step over here please."

As for what character I would get rid of...probably Aquaman. Or Thor.

Err one of the Spider heroes like Spiderman 2099, Spider-Woman, Spider girl (Anya Sofia Corazon) or whichever spider base heroes that is somehow affliated with Spider-man? No offenese since I know little about those characters but come on, Spider-man is already popular. Do they really need to act more members to the Spider family (yes I know they not exactly meet with Peter but still)?

I am not a fan of Robin, Superman, or any 'girl' superhero knock-offs i.e. Super'girl', Bat'girl' etc. - but Oracle is okay. I'll add Aquaman to the list too, just because. Damn Aquaman.

I hate Superman. He isn't a super hero, he's a God, and he's not interesting to read about because he's too goddamned noble.

I like anti-heroes, or at least heroes with some character flaws. Perfect godmode Mary Sue heroes just annoy me.

How many people have actually looked into Aquaman beyond the shitty silver age from a good few years ago? Not many apparently.

I'm going to go with Batman. Not because I don't like him, I fucking love him; it's just that he's too much of a poster boy now. He stands out far too much and he overshadows almost every other superhero out there, look on DC's website and I can promise you that there's 3:1 ratio of Batman to everything else.

Other than that, I like almost every hero. Except Capt America, scrap him.

hmmm would I get flamed if I said the hulk, its not like I really want to get rid of him because he's not a bad character. But I never got the point of haveing him around besides to smash stuff.
