Which comic book would *you* make into a movie?

I'd go for the following:

Cloak & Dagger [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloak_and_Dagger_(comics)]
Director: Duncan Jones [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Jones]
Cast: Nathan Stewart-Jarret [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_Donovan] - Tyrone Johnson/Cloak (link to his Misfits character, his own page has no pic), Anna Kendrick [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Kendrick] - Tandy Bowen/Dagger, Giancarlo Giannini [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giancarlo_Giannini] - Silvio Manfredi/Silvermane, Vin Diesel [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vin_diesel] - D'Spayre.
Kendrick is a pretty good pick, but I stand by Moretz.

And good call for D'Spayre. Didn't even think of him.

Who you think for Detective O'Rielly/Mayhem? Thinking Amy Madigan with some makeup work.
I did consider Chloë Grace Moretz [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlo%C3%AB_Grace_Moretz] for Dagger but she's too round-faced and a bit too young (at the moment at least), in my opinion. Dagger's costume is a bit on the adult side!

I hadn't thought about Mayhem, but since you mention her, perhaps Toni Collette [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toni_Collette]?

PS: You had Dakota Fanning [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dakota_Fanning] as Dagger; she's also a pretty good choice!

What is it and why?
Empowered (by Adam Warren).

Because Empowered is an awesome and wonderful deconstruction of the super hero genre. Emp herself is a strong and wonderful character in spite of (actually because of) her very fragile super-suit, and her relationships with Thug Boy and Ninjette are heartwarming and believable.

Also, Ocelotina.

Edit: Crap! I almost forgot the Goddamn Maid Man.

Here's some cover art for those unfamiliar:

How about...

Spider-Woman [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Woman_(Jessica_Drew)]
Director: Kurt Wimmer [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Wimmer]
Cast: Kat Dennings [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kat_Dennings] - Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman/Arachne, Hugo Weaving [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Weaving] - High Evolutionary (voice, perhaps also in flashback as Herbert Wyndham), Jeremy Irons [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Irons] - Count Otto Vermis, Lena Headey [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lena_Headey] - Contessa Valentina Allegro de Fontaine, and I guess Samuel Jackson [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Jackson] would have to reprise his role as Nick Fury.

Okay I would like to see a movie adaptation of Marshal Law. Basically it's about a fascist super soldier lawman hunting down a supervillian but also super heroes because he doesn't see any difference between the two. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshal_Law_(comics)

A Blue Beetle movie would be awesome it doesn't matter which one the choose. A Booster Gold movie would also be pretty cool. A movie starring Ted Kord Blue Beetle and Booster gold would be pure awesome.

Hopefully still with all the sexy-bondage right?
That might actually make it a runaway success like 50 shade of grey, but you know actually good.

It wouldn't be Empowered without bondage. After all, that's kind of the point - Emp gets humiliated, treated like shit, and generally abused - and keeps going back. That's what makes her a big fucking hero.

Oh, by the gods, please don't compare Empowered to that.... Ugh. That thing (don't even want to type the title) is NOT a good representation of BDSM, bondage, or anything like that. It misses the point so damn badly, it might as well be on an entirely different topic.

On the other hand, Empowered discusses actual bondage and bondage safety issues, proper knot use, etc. Adam Warren knows his bondage - that awful book does not.

If I was Marvel I'd like to do a Daredevil, Punisher and Heroes for Hire movie each as part of a Marvel Knights franchise, then do an Avengers style crossover movie where the four heroes team up to take down the Kingpin
Good call, I second this.

I'd go with The Griffin, a six-issue DC offering from 1991. It has a good story, is a complete story, and has some fun. "The world doesn't revolve around you!" "It would if I wanted it to." You could make the movie 1.5 - 2.5 hours and do it justice anywhere in that range.

MAGE: THE HERO DISCOVERED, from StarBlaze Graphics in the 80s, by Matt Wagner. A modern take on the Arthurian legend, with a very reluctant Arthur. Lots of symbolism, but a great read even if you don't see or care about that. It would probably have to be done as two movies. Then the follow-up set, MAGE: THE HERO DEFINED, would probably be another two. Making a movie or two of the first set would probably be enough to get the third and final installment released in graphic novel form, and then movies could be made from that as well.

Dreadstar, from Epic, would make a good movie; though it would likely end up as a series of bad ones.

Has Transmetropolitan gotten a film adaptation yet? Wouldn't mind seeing that. I wonder who would play Spider Jerusalem?

"DV8"
For America's Best Comics
"Promethea"
For DC *puts on flame retardant gear*
"Batman Beyond"
Honorable mention...
"A Contract with God" Will Eisner
Also "100 Bullets" has been mentioned and rightfully so, it is so so good.

The immortal iron fist. I love me some iron fist. Also, luke cage.

dream complete.

CAPTCHA: Souffle girl. Been watching Dr. Who captcha?
They were planning on doing an Iron Fist movie back in 2000. They even had Ray Parks (aka Toad, Darth Maul, Chuck Norris) in for the lead. Then they got it caught in movie limbo with a script last known being worked on in 2010.

Wonder Woman, easily. She's the most prominent female icon in all of comics and in over seventy years there has barely even been an attempt to make a movie out of her. They'll make shitty ass Daredevil movies and reboot other male superhero franchises before they'll even try to tackle Wonder Woman.

Frankly if comic books really want to convince people they aren't sexist they could be prepared to 'take the risk' of making a female lead markettable without her being used as a sex symbol.

Deadpool directed by Edgar Wright.

I actually came up wit a sweet plot outline for a Deadpool film that plays with his identity and origin not really being set in stone in the marvel universe.

A couple people have mentioned this, but I really want to see a lavishly animated version of Bone. Do it as a trilogy of movies so the plot doesn't have to be cut to shreds, and give it a big enough budget to do the kind of awesome 2D animation that Disney used to do. Or the kind in Akira, to give a non-Disney example. I'm talking fluid, expressive, and detailed here. I can't imagine it not making billions.

Easiest question ever! :p
Y the Last Man... Make it into a mini series and episodic... kinda like they did with Walking Dead...!
It would be great to see the story come to life... and not only that, it would have a damn load of hot actresses in! :p

The reason I would like to see it is because, like the Walking Dead, the series focuses on characterisation and charachter development as well as plot... I think this would make it appeal to a wider audience!

Also... an animated version of the Wonderful World of Oz... just because.
