Sticking with my PC. Spent time playing with PC games for about a year, and then went back to Consoles. Besides games like .Hack series, I'm finding the controllers too restricting.

I like my 360, think I wasted my money on the Wii, and haven't tried the PS3 so can't comment.

I'm leaving it at that.

I own a all the consols (I'm selling my wii, ohh... wait that sounds wrong) and the 360 and PS3 are so awesome.

i have a ps3 and a wii and i prefer the ps3. as far as ps3 v 360, i could care less to be honest. both are jockeying for the same place and both can be great in their own ways. and for the people who say the wii is better because of how much is sold, that's kind of ridiculous. every 8 year old and their dog wanted/wants one, and they are cheap enough for parents to satiate their spawns desires, same goes for the ds. Game consoles directed at little kids for little money will always win out, no matter how much better the other consoles are.

You can objectively say which is most powerful (FLOPS, polygons - whatever you want to measure) and you can say objectively which is most successful but you can't objectively say which is best as that is based on preferences ranging from games to colour to styling.

I don't see the point in bitching about which is better, is petty and frankly pointless. Why not just appreciate everything for what it has? Being a fan boy is a bit like being racist, it's stupid. Besides, what importance does the quality of a console have in the grand scheme of things? It's like little boys arguing who has the bigger toy truck.

You have a point besides I believe most people who argue over the best console only have one console. I have an Xbox 360, I like playing fable2 and Oblivion on it, but there are some PS3 games I would like to try out.
Different consoles have advantages and disadvantages, the PS3 takes a while to load, the Wii controls could get irritating, and the Xbox 360 freezes on occasion, though I can't say that because I haven't played on a Wii or PS3.
There is no best Console, each one has unique features that level out the playing field
PS3: plays Blu-ray DVDs
XBOX 360: has very good connection system(Xbox Live)
Wii: it is fun to watch your friends swing the remote like a 5 year-old playing baseball

Do we really have to use Metacritic? I'm a PS3 fanboy and it gave Killzone 2 91, 91! That makes it BETTER than Mass Effect and AS GOOD as Dragon Age: Origins.

As for trying a empirical solution to this problem, it's nigh on impossible given the subjection we each have to consoles. like I said, I'm a PS3 fanboy and anyone says against results in my ship's tactical laser (set on Hyperdeath?) to cut their internet connection.

Which is clearly ridiculous, as green is a superior colour in every way.

It was explained why he got a Purple one. But I cannot for the life of me remember what it was.

OK... OT: the best console is obviously a bicycle.
It is compatible with most upgrades, convenient and a lot of fun.

He asked Lucas what colours every character used as a blade: "blue and green for the good guys, red for the bad guys." When Jackson asked if he could get purple, Lucas replied "You might get purple." Wow, so many problems.

1) Only "AAA" games matter? I think not. I would much rather have 100 'good but not amazing' games than 10 great ones, which I would rather have than 1 perfect game.
2) Sales are not a measure of game quality.
3) Budget is not a measure of game quality.
4) MetaCritic scores are not measures of game quality.

Well I just picked up a PS3 for the fact that the Blue-ray drive gets automatic updates whenever firmware for the system comes out, which is nice.

Also I've never played God of War, so I have that collection in HD coming this week from amazon.

yeah, everything has it's advantages and disadvantages. and it's perfectly okay if you prefer playing one console over another. But it's when people start becoming prejudiced, if you will, and believing their console is the best and everything else sucks that pisses me off. They take it beyond a debate about which is the better console and turn into something more like party politics.

I bought an xbox because my stupid hands can't grip the PS1,2 or 3 controller properly, and I get horrific thumb ache if I try to use the left hand analogue stick on the PS controller. Also trying to figure out shape recognition and relating it to buttons didn't work for me. Letters and big colours I can handle.
